They did a very good job of remodeling Jacksons making the extended bar the âcentralâ focal point. Better HDTVâs have been strategically placed throughout the establishment. Food preparation quality and wait service have been sporadic since the âpassingâ of the general manager / co-owner. It still a good place to âhang-outâ

Was anticipating a quality steak. Ordered the top-sirloin. It had so much fat and gristle in it. Only 50% was edible. Server was slow, 2 requests for a steak knife. Seemed more interested in conversation with another employee, versus the tables in her area.

Charming Bride and I had much to celebrate with the conclusion of her hard fought and successful battle against breast cancer. The annual mammograms are very important!.So, based upon the suggestion of Emmy, one of our friends in the Tri-Cities, we decided upon The Kitchen at Barnard Griffin. I had a steak salad affair that was top flight! Nicely presented, delicious to consume. Charming Bride had the chopped salad, which she said was very good. We did not have reservations, but got seated right away in spite of it being a Friday night. I would suggest reservations for most nights. The dining area is fairly small, I don't think it would seat many more than 50 people at most. Service was prompt and professional. The restrooms clean and easily accessible. Music was provided by a rather gifted young man that played an electronic key board, solely instrumentals while we were there. The music was not overpowering. The restaurant was full by the time our dinners arrived after we polished off the two appetizers. The bar seating is adjacent to the restaurant dining area. Attire was everything from wine country tour casual, like us, to well decked out couples out for a romantic evening, to those sitting at the bar that appeared to have gathered there as an end of week beverage amongst friends. The exterior is very nice, with views of the local area. Barnard and Griffin is very easy to get to, adjacent to the Queensgate shopping area freeways. The maître' d was an imposing fellow with a shock of blond hair, he was in constant circulation, taking plates, asking questions about the food, about the service and greeting everyone that came through the door.We shall return, it was a treat we shall repeat!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Tap & Barrel. The place offers the perfect combination of a relaxing ambiance combined with rotating selection (soon to be self-serve) wine dispenser system with 1 oz, 3 oz, and 5 oz pouring options. There are seven pouring stations with eight different bottles of wine in each unit offering a total of (56) wines to choose from. We tasted six different wines using the 1 oz pour option. After the tasting we selected a 750ml bottle of Maloney 2013 Scooteney Flats Cabernet Sauvignon (Red Mountain AVA) Washington State. It was a perfect accompaniment with our Chicken Bruschetta Flatbread (goat cheese & caramelized onion, topped with tomatoes, red onion, balsamic vinegar & basil), Lettuce Wraps (ground pork, lime, cilantro, mint, red & green onions served on cold romaine lettuce) and Baked Goat Cheese (drizzled with honey & served with pickled grapes & seasoned crostini slices). We met the very personable owners Jason & Kendra. They know what they are doing and they have created an excellent venue. We will definitely be back and are recommending this establishment to our friends.

We had dinner at Kimo's Sports Bar Friday evening. The restaurant was busy and very loud. Service was slow but they were busy. My Wife and I had the italian grinder, it was maybe below average. I would not order it again and will not dine at Kimo's the next time we are in Kennewick.

We stopped in on the tail end of a happy hour week day evening and the tasting room was buzzing. We quickly found a spot and were greeted shortly thereafter. My wife chose a Washington State Chardonnay while I began with the Lou Dog Red Ale. My brew offered nice malty notes with a touch of hop, a smooth and rich beer served in an interesting wide mouth glass. My next selection was another seasonal beer I believe, the Days Pay IPA which offered a moderate hoppy approach, but not bitter or to astringent at all. There was complimentary popcorn to nibble on. We enjoyed this stop and may some day visit again when in Richland.

We went in to try their beer and have a snack, but they were out of 2 beer from their limited menu. We tried the pretzel with spicy butter, it was good. The beer was ok, we had the oatmeal IPA and and brown ale that was sweet and not very carbonated.
