We go to Ashtown brewery a couple times a month. They have a good selection of in house beer and several visiting taps. The draw back is the do not have ready made food but you can call several local restaurants and have food delivered. On occasion they have BBQ on site and they get really busy. This is a must stop for anyone wanting a cold beer and nice atmosphere.

I've eaten at the Triangle a couple of times recently and both times the service and food were fantastic. It's up there with the best tavern/bar food in town. Ate with a group of 5 people and everybody enjoyed their food and the service was terrific. Can't wait to go back! Try it, you'll like it!

They will serve your food in the Theater. There's plenty of tables to set your food and drinks. The veggy pizza was excellent with lots of garlic. It was a little chilly but the balcony is warmer. We will definitely be back again.

Cant say too much, only stopped in last night for a beer, first time there.Gals were friendly, service was good and food looked good,so need to go back and stay a while.Typical mixed bar crowd...nothing wild and crazy,at least last night :-)
This establishment is in what appears to be an old warehouse, with no windows. Inside is gloomy and musty (smells like an old bar). Average selection of popular brews. If you like a more cheerful atmosphere, go across the street to the old Alston's Country Store.
The Goble Tavern has occupied this wide spot in the road on US 30 for many years, as the rest of Goble has vanished. They serve average bar food, when the kitchen is open (if you love chicken gizzards, you MUST be from the South). There are several much better places to eat just 4 miles further west. I would rank the Goble Tavern as about #9 in Rainier restaurants.
The original Evergreen Tavern was on B Street (US 30), next to what is now Luigi's - but it burned down. It is now located where the old Busy Bee Cafe, and much earlier, the Rainier Post Office (where my Grandad was Postmaster) were. Standard bar food, lots of alcohol, OK if you have nothing better to do.

The outside of this place is nothing special. In fact, without reading the Trip Advisor reviews I doubt my wife and I would have set foot in the door. Thankfully, reviews do exist! The interior of Hop N Grape far exceeds the exterior. Nicely built out and comfortable atmosphere. My only regret in leaving this place was not saving room for their Marion Berry cobbler. I had the blackened catfish (good but could have been spicier for my taste) and sides of hush puppies and coleslaw. Hush puppies were good but coleslaw pretty bland. Oh, and I started out with a cup their smoked salmon chowder. Delicious. My wife ordered the beef brisket platter, with black eyed peas and collared green rolls. The brisket and peas were great. The rolls were definitely âuniqueâ. We rather liked them but we both agreed most people we know wouldnât! All in all a very pleasurable dining experience at Hop N Grape. I admire people who have an ambitious dream, i.e. their menu options, and work hard to make it happen.

Great Fresh Cracked Crab!
The Interstate has tried to become gentrified over the last 3 or 4 years, possibly to attract DINKs from Portland. They have added an outdoor patio in the back (overshadowed by a hundred-year-old pear tree), and, most recently put out chairs, tables, and an awning on the sidewalk in front (Paris, Oregon, anyone?) Criticism aside, they still serve the best Dungeness crab sandwiches on the planet. Bar none. The only reason they aren't #1 (IMHO) is that DC is not available year round, and anyway, you can only eat so much crab in a year. Meatloaf - different story.
