Reviews on Pub food in Queenstown, South Island, New Zealand. Staggering beauty and heart-pumping thrills await in the resort town of Queenstown, which is also known for its Hobbits—much of the Lord of the Rings trilogy was filmed in the area. Outdoor enthusiasts flock to Queenstown for the kayaking, bungee jumping, jetboating, white-water rafting, hiking and skiing. More mild-mannered adventurers can take a quiet cruise through nearby Milford Sound, part of the Fjordland National Park World Heritage area, or sample South Island pinot noir from one of the region's 75 wineries.

Funky and Friendly. Cheap and Cheerful meals. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent food and service at great prices. Massive central fire for the winter months, and an amazing rooftop terrace for the summer months or just to get some fresh air. Goin
First of all props to Lydia, it felt like she read our minds, brought drinks when were thinking about and water as well, that was impressive.Warm cider was really good, and the chicken parmy, yeah, deftnely a good bar for a chilled one or a night out with friends.

Before some the new owners I loved their food. Now it's just expensive for what it is. There is not much on the menu to offer. This used to be the best local pub in Queesntown. The service is very great, but the atmosphere was. There were loads of people, but no music.

1876 Bar and Restaurant is a distinctive & much valued landmark of Queenstown. The old stone courthouse building was erected between November 1875 and September 1876. The Old Courthouse is one of the few structures that survive from Queenstown's early gold
Came here about half a dozen times during our week in Queenstown. Happy hour drinks are $5, and even out of happy hour they're some of the cheapest you could hope for in Queenstown. Mulled wine and cider both amazing, jar cocktails fruity and refreshing, beer fantastic and food delicious. We had the vegetarian nachos three times, going out of way to make it here during happy hour for them. Halloumi fries and cauliflower bites also delicious. Cozy inside and outside, with dozens and dozens of strings of fairylights draped over the courtyard. Great place, will definitely be back during our next visit.

We visited The London on our first night in Queenstown a week ago. Great pizza, fantastic pasta and good vibe. We received excellent service from a lovely young girl named Georgia and we enjoyed our visit so much we decided to go there again today on our first day back in Queenstown. Georgia was there again and we were warmly greeted - and the chef remembered our special pizza order! We will definitely return again during our visit in Queenstown. Highly recommended. Hi LuckybelHow lovely to hear what a great experience you had! Georgia is a great member of our team, she'll be so pleased to hear your comments. We love to have returning customers - can't wait to see you back!RegardsThe London Team

Came in here during a rainy day in Queenstown to grab some beers and relax. What a great selection of beers and such a nice, relaxing atmosphere with friendly service. We werenât very hungry and not planning on eating but they had a great selection of food so we ordered loaded fries to nibble on. We were pleasantly surprised how big the portion was and shared as a family of 4 while my husband and I finished our beers. Would return if we ever came back to Queenstown and grab a full meal with our beers next time. Definitely a great place for beer lovers who want to try something they havenât had before and a perfect place for a rainy day or after an action-filled day to unwind.
