It is located on the southwestern coast of San Cristóbal, the easternmost island in the archipelago, and is the capital of San Cristóbal Canton. It was founded by General Villamil Playas in the mid-19th century, and takes its name from President Alfredo Baquerizo Moreno (1859–1951). Today, fishing is the main activity of the locals, but tourism is on the increase along the waterfront with numerous hotels and shops.

This small restaurant in San Cristobal, Galapagos, was an excellent surprise. A young couple is running the place, both discreet but really professional and efficient. Menu is very inventive and sooooo tasty: Food is based on local bio products and creates an original and right mix of different flavors. Meals are creations.We went there twice, picked up different meals each time and were never disappointed.A simple but excellent address in San Cristobal, on a parallel street to harbor.Thank You DeniZinho for your visit! Great food, drinks and atmosphere! You must stop in at Rustica Urban Food and have a meal, drink and meet the friendly staff while enjoying your stay on the wonderful island of San Cristobal in the Galapagos Islands. This place is not near the common tourist's locations for food. as you enter the restaurant you get the "spirit" of the island mixed with an open place that combines a bar and a restaurant. So, I think you can go with friends to hang on for a fun time or to get some food. Prices and quality are very good, the personnel makes you feel comfortable and helps you with your order. We went for a Barbecue for two, but I feel we needed a third guest, so full of meat. It was the best "seasoning" we found in San Cristobal.
