Due to the extensive damage The Brick Wall received from Hurricane Michael we have closed. Thank you to all those who patronized us.
We went to Port St. Joe to bring donations to Mexico Beach and volunteer at the Ground Zero White Tent. We went to the Brick Wall based on recommendations from a local resident. We were seated immediately and waited on by Maliyah. She said she was new but did a good job. I had the PIG pork sliders with pulled pork, coleslaw, chipotle sauce and pickles with French fries which was very good. My husband had the fried shrimp basket with coleslaw, French fries and hush puppies. He said everything was good but was not a fan of the coleslaw. The music was way too loud. They turned it down as we asked, but it got very loud again in a very short time. My husband and I couldnât even hear each other.

Gracie's is a dive bar. There's really no other way to describe it and that's not meant to be critical at all. It's an institution that hasn't changed in donkey's years with the eponymous Gracie holding court and keeping everything ship shape.Gracie is friendly and down to earth and on weekly cake days even brings a cake into the bar for customers to enjoy. It's also a rarity in that smoking is okay - if you don't like sipping cold beer in a smoky bar listening to music then stay far away.Gracie's is old school and all the better for it.
Paradise will be closing permanently and will soon be the location of Lookout Lounge and Discount Liquors which was destroyed by Hurricane Michael. In St. Joe Beach, the traditional greeting to visitors is âWelcome to Paradiseâ. Itâs not just a location,
If you are near here you owe it to yourself to visit. They have 24 different beers on tap, a full bar, and some great tasting food. The mural when you enter is fun to see and the staff makes you feel at home. Their service is fast and great. We had the turkey and Cuban both of which were very filling and the flavors kept coming with every bite. This is a most welcome treat to the area.Thank you:)
