First class food and outstanding Guinness. Our party of four thoroughly enjoyed scampi skewers in garlic butter, a lamb shank and an Irish ribeye steak. All of our meals were excellent - in flavour and presentation. A lively atmosphere and very good service by young waiting staff who apparently enjoy their work.

If you are visiting small town Poperinge, and have little bit hungry, this frituur is a good choice. You can order french fries, burgers, chicken wings, and other fried things. In my opinion, their burger is just standard burger like McD or Quick. Nothing special. Their french fries are good enough. Their chicken wings are a bit too salty.

Een origineel en leuk concept, slechts 3 gerechten en een gedurfde drankenkaart. Zoek geen Leffe of zelfs geen St Bernardus enkel lokale biertjes op de kaart ! Maar er staan echt juweeltjes op die je anders niet zou proeven.Ook het eten was subliem! Heel verzorgd en super lekker, prijs - kwaliteit was top !!!

Judging from the interesting old photos on the pub's website, Cafe l'Esperance probably dates from the late nineteenth century. Nice position overlooking Poperinge's attractive main square (Grote Markt). L'Esperance doesn't seem to have changed much - nice apparently original wood panelling and lots of atmosphere. For a small town it was surprisingly lively late on the chilly Monday evening before remembrance day we visited. Friendly, mainly young crowd. We enjoyed our calvados.

Visited this estaminet for the first time in ten years this weekend and was astonished to find it almost empty on a Saturday lunch. Very friendly welcome, a very short menu and nothing very original but the food was good and copious. The decor is pleasant and relaxing.I'm not sure it's very good but it's better than average
