First visit here. The staff were very friendly and efficient, nothing was too much trouble. The lunch was lovely and very good value and the drinks reasonable. However, the only off putting thing is the decor. The Pub is very much in need of TLC, decorating etc. Very tired and worn looking. Would still return though.

We hadnât been here since it changed hands so based on the reviews, we thought we would give it a try with friends. The staff are very friendly and we were pleased we pre booked as it was very busy. The menu is ok with some vegan options, we did have to wait around an hour for our food, but as I said it was busy. The food was a bit disappointing based on other reviews, we expected better. We all agreed it was ok, but we probably wonât go again.

WE ARE A FAMILY RUN, CHILD AND DOG FRIENDLY COUNTRY PUB. We offer choice of 4 real ales, a smooth ale, 4 lagers (2 premium) and 3 ciders on tap with a good variety of bottled ciders, soft drinks and alcohol free lager. Our food dose not claim to win prize
Family and friends gathering to inter ashes in delightful church opposite followed by cakes and coffee for attendees. That spread was superb and loads taken home after. This was followed by a family lunch for 8. Obviously home cooked food which was ample and delicious followed by one of the provided cakes for pud. Rachel and the staff could not have been more helpful and ensured that what might have been a stressful event went smoothly. The price for the lunch including drinks was also very reasonable. When next visiting family this pub will be top of the list for lunch. Highly recommended.

Called in on a Thursday evening for a beer and some food. We ordered from the curry menu. The food was great. Would recommend it.

I had a lamb special but this was slightly over cooked and dry and was. Or worth the £17 price tag. Steaks were great but sticky toffee pudding was served burnt and not really enjoyable. This was Arlen off the bill and the owners didnât question it at all. I hope they sort out the niggles as the place has great potential. Thanks for your review. We always appreciate feedback that enables us to improve. Usually, the lamb special is very moist and tender because of being slowly braised for several hours. Unfortunately, this particular one did not meet up to our usual high standards. We would have replaced it with another or something else if we had known. I'm glad the steaks were enjoyable.Again, the sticky toffee pudding is a hugely popular dish and clearly something went wrong on this occasion. Thanks for bringing it to our attention, I am glad we were able to quickly resolve the problem by taking it off the bill. Thanks once again for the feedback, we are always looking at ways of improving our dishes and this information will help us to do that.

Enjoyed our meal here, good attentive staff, wide choice of varied menu . For us, only negative was quantity of meat. The Massala Platter consisted of 4 rather small "Chunks" of chicken. I did mention this to be told they operated a portion control system. I guess that may mean it arrives pre bagged?

Went with my wifr for a meal as we were staying locally for a few days. We got there early, before it openend and had a wander around the village. WHen we got back we sat on the patio with our dog and ordered our food. I had Grilled Chicken, my wife had the pie (Chicken Ham & Leek). Food was lovely, the service excellent. We were the only customers but so often that is when service falls down, not here. They were very good. Not the cheapest place we went to but certainly worth the money

Enjoy award winning dining at our 17th century coaching inn situated in the village of New Inn. Locally sourced produce with the warmest of Welsh welcomes.
I've eaten here several times now, both for Sunday lunch, week day lunch and for evening meals and every time the food and service has been fabulous. Prices are very reasonable for the high quality of food, staff are always friendly and welcoming and the menu changes seasonally, so there's always a good excuse to go back and try something new!

The reviews for this establishment are very misleading. My partner and I visited off the back of the positive reviews that itâs had. I pre-booked a table prior to attending but there was absolutely no need, the bar and restaurant were both empty. I found the quality and presentation very average. The meat was a poor cut, the mushrooms were cooked in butter which was disgusting and the onion rings were coated a huge clump of greasy batter. Donât expect great things. Wonât be returning.
