Stopped here for my birthday dinner. I had the Bison ribeye and the wife had BBQ shrimp. Neither meal was memorable. We shared an appetizer (crab stuffed mushrooms), best part of the meal. Salads were room temperature. Service was marginal. Beer was cold. Extremely noisy. Overall just average. I expected more for a $100 meal for 2. We will probably go back but for the price there are better options in COS.

First, the only negative to be aware of is that this restaurant is very loud with limited soundproofing. Itâs hard to have a conversation. The servers here are friendly and smiling. The food is delicious. My husband enjoyed his bangers and mash and the spicy chicken sandwich was a giant, full breast of breaded chicken and spice - lovely! We canât wait to return!

We met dear friends here for lunch last Sunday. They had made reservations and we were able to be seated upon arrival. We each had a different menu selection and they were very good. Many options to choose from. Got a kick out of the cute kids meals served next to us in little cardboard cars!! Service was prompt. Only complaint we had was the main courses came out before we had all had a chance to finish our salads. Need to allow more time to finish salad/soups. Save room for dessert, the creme brulee was very good!It filled up quickly and I think every table was full when we left. It is a little noisy but it did not interfere with our table conversation.Look forward to visiting again!!
A family-owned Black Forest gathering place. A local brewery where you can bring the whole family. Enjoy outstanding craft brews on-tap. There are local spirits, wines, and meads and local foods as well. Hang out with the neighbors and play games, enjoy t
Black Forest has had a number of eateries and bars over the years. But this is the first brewery. So glad it's here.We go to the brewery about every week. It's in a small strip shopping center next to the Subway. The atmosphere is nice. Left over from a coffee shop that was at the location several years ago.And we like the beer. It's such a refreshing alternative to the other bars which are basically biker bars and have a rough exterior. The 'feel' here is so different. We'll return. And recommend you to go.

The staff is always cheery and right at your needs. the portions we perfect for all of us. Just wish they had more of a kids menu. Unless I didn't really see it. So my 2 year old shared my meal. No big deal. Not a deal breaker!

Our first visit to this place and the town of Calhan, home to Paint Mines Interpretive Park. This is the ONLY restaurant within 40 miles of any major city. We read the reviews and must agree, the pizzas and the calzones, definitely must try. We tried the Meat Lovers Calzone and 10 inch Cheese with Ground Beef pizza...you can build your own. Most of all, the staff was friendly, attentive. Great customer service! It's a small locals bar and restaurant with a lot to offer. Good food, good flavor. Burgers, steak, pizza, salads, burritos, calzones, and more. We will definitely be back when on the area.
Driving out of Colorado Springs one afternoon and the place caught my eye, so I thought I'd stop and see what this saloon was all about.Chris the bartender was very nice, all the folks at the bar were enjoying themselves- the place looked like it would be a lot of fun at night- couple pool tables, good juke box, plenty of seats and it looked like they had a patio area out back.Saw some burgers come out of the kitchen that looked good- they have a full menu to choose from.So if your driving by, stop in and have some fun.

Enjoyed the lively atmosphere and watching preseason football games while having dinner. Garlic parmesan wings and handmade chips were very good and hubby enjoyed the slopper green chili burger. Waitress was friendly and attentive.
