This hotel and restaurant sits in a spectacular location overlooking the Menai Straits on the Ismand of Anglesey. Recently under new management it offers a wide range of cuisine from bar meals to a full dining room service. A good range of beers and wines
Stayed here in October, lovely hotel, fantastic location on the shore of Menai, lovely sea views, great staff, fabulous evening meal (my wife had rib eye and said it was lovely to have a tasty light jus served with the steak instead of being asked an extra two quid for a Diane sauce). Breakfast great, best poached eggs ever, hats off to the chef. We had a brilliant stay, nice bar and a top barman. My daughter and her partner had come over from Canada and we decided to take them to Anglesey for a couple of days. They were blown away by the hotel. Thank you so much and canât wait to returnAndy JThank you very much for your kind words which highlight all the hard work my staff put into the service, we offer a selection of sauces with the steak which is included in the price so no hidden charges, on saying that the chefs must change when they do my breakfast as I end up with hard boiled poached eggs ha.We are all pleased that you enjoyed you stay also that you daughter and partner enjoyed their visit from Canada, I have many happy memories of the time I spent in Alberta. We look forward to hosting you again

We had a family of 13 booked in for a Saturday night, including 5 kids - we were asked to pre-order during the week which wasnât a problem. We arrived at our table on the night only to be told we would have an hourâs wait even though they already had our orders. The place was packed and the majority of tables were waiting for food. When it finally came, one of the family had ordered liver, bacon sausage and mash - only he was presented with just liver and mash. When asked where the rest of the meal was, he was told that they had run out. Extra veg was ordered to go with the meal but it never turned up. The rest of the group was unimpressed with the food. The bar was the only area where there wasnât a problem and the liver and mash was taken off the bill, but we will not be back. Other reviews on here all seem to be confirming the same problems.

My wife and I visited the railway station opposite - the one with the longest name in the world. We called here for a drink.Sky TV and full of locals. Friendly service and draft beers.

This is the second time weâve visited the Kinmel Arms on our mini-breaks to Anglesey. It has a brilliant, large, dog friendly section with bowls and treats available for your fury friend. The staff are always very welcoming & the food is always really good.Weâll definitely be coming back!

Family of 5, booked a table, warm welcome on arrival. We all had one of their special burgers and home made chips. Absolutely delicious , tender and tasty. Chocolate brownie and ice cream and sticky toffee pudding and ice cream were the chosen puddings. Again delicious. Accompanied by a sole acoustic musician next door creating a relaxing atmosphere, whatâs not to like. Would recommend to anyone !

My husband and I went to this pub last night for a meal. How wrong canât they get Fish and chips????Well they certainly did!!!It looked as if the cleaner had cooked it. The fish was nearly black darker brown would be an apt description. The oil had obviously been far to hot so the outer batter was very well over cooked and it was still raw inside.I ate the cod the chips were not cooked properly either. How could that come out of any kitchen????So they have missed out on us taking friends tonight Remember you are only as good as your last meal!!!

Called in for lunch never been before, great food and quick service, had a crab and spring onion sandwich the thick brown bread was to die for. Fish and chips also excellent. Old style traditional pub that hasn't probably changed for years , and doesn't need to as it all adds to the location and atmosphere

We stopped here not knowing the area, it was approx 6 pm. It was very busy with many tables reserved. Luckily we were given a table and I ordered the pate and toast which was average and like the supermarket lower end type. The gammon was super salty and chips on 2 plates not crisp at all. Bit disappointing and we would not go back. Hi. Thankyou for taking the time to leave a review. I'm sorry you didn't like our pate. We buy the best Danish crown horseshoe gammons and cut them ourselves to get the best quality available, unfortunately the odd one can be salty. The chips are also the highest quality and I'm not sure how yours ended up not crisp. I'm sorry for your disappointing experience. It's a shame you didn't give us the opportunity to improve your experience while you were still here.
