Il Broletto is an Irish Pub in central Pavia.Nice for a late night drink. They serve a wide variety of beers, but of course also wine and other (non)alcoholics.Prices are average, maybe slightly above, but still well affordable.Service is friendly.

We had excellent food and a friendly welcome by Maurizio (the owner) and his staff.Ask Maurizio his specialty, the "Arabesque" panino. It is something that you cannot eat elsewhere. The Arabesque is an enormous hot sandwich containing melted cheese, shrimps, a pink spicy sauce (home secret I guess) and some salty ham (prosciutto crudo). Well this is what it looks like... Anyway, it is absolutely delicious!Bravo Maurizio!!giorgio

Very authentic restaurant, super friendly and patient service. We have had our best pasta meals in this kind of simple restaurants in Italy, and this was no exception. Excellent quality to price ratio. We would go back any time! Some knowledge of Italian may be helpful.

We came here twice during our trip, both times for just drinks and chips. It seemed like a fun place to hang out later in the evening, but we never got a chance to go back. The interior design reminded us a lot of the southwest.Thank you for your rewiew, it's a pity you didn't have dinner to us...I'm glad you appreciated the location. I visited your town last october and it would have been nice to have the occasion to have a talk on ours trips...Perhaps next time...

Bar Restaurant situated in the center of Pavia (near University). For dinner we offer fresh dish prepared by our chef, club sandwiches and selected hamburger. In the lunch we offer selected gourmet dishes and our celebrated "Gnocco Fritto" in the cocktail
We discovered this restaurant on our first day in Pavia, as it is near Collegio Ghislieri. My wife and I shared a bottle of wine, a dish of pasta, some very tasty puffy doughs, and some pizza bread. All for â¬22.00. This local version of Happy Hour is called apertivo. The service was friendly and there was a festive air. We very much enjoyed the experienced. We tried to return again, but it was closed on Sunday and Monday nights, and we needed to head on.

We met some friends for aperitivo at the Scuderia del Borgo because they have an amazing wine selection and a funny sommelier that makes good recommendations. You can tell him if you feel like drinking local, if you want a big name wine, how much you want to spend, what you feel like eating (they have really good single plates too!) or even your mood and he will never disappoint. Don't be weirded out that he doesn't smile much! The owner also has a "gastronomia" which is like a delicatessen - so their charcuterie and cheese plates are always great. It's also really nice if you can sit outside and see the Naviglio canal, though Italians are often smokers so you may have to deal with that. Also this being Pavia, bug spray is a must because the mosquitoes are vicious. If you're not up to sitting outside, the tables inside are nice though small - recommend calling ahead to reserve tables especially if you have a larger group. They'll push tables together but it's not huge so they run out quick.

Independent pub and beer shop. Every week 10 different tap line offer you the best quality of Italian craft beers and many more. A large selection of bottles is available as well. Piadine, simple hamburger and taglieri with ham/salami and various cheese w
Nice and Cozy atmosphere with very kind and knowledgeable personnel. But the real star of the place is beer, coming in several drafts that change very often. The selection is amazing, ranging from italian independent breweries to foreign ones. Ask at the counter for advice and have them choose for you, you will not regret it. Really a pleasant surprise in Pavia and a nice spot to crash in and relax in a friendly atmosphere if you are in the area.

The cocktails we had were all fantastic and something completely different, than what any of us have ever tried somewhere else. This is quite a compliment by the amount we travel and try things! The burgers were also absolutely excellent and the people there are very friendly. We would be happy to come again when we are back in the area. Thanks!!

I've been here several times and I was always amazed by the meat quality of this place. Compared to the first time I've been here the size of burgers seems resized, but it still worth to eat. Remember this is not commercial burgers and you can compose yours favorite with as many layers your stomach can handle and with the favorite topping. This evening nachos which is a great starters and Boston burger with wild board, Alice sottoterra beer and baked potatoes.
