This pub stocks about a hundred board games, so people tend to come here to play. Staff are friendly and there is an excellent choice of drinks... it would take weeks to drink yourself through their cocktail list alone. Beware of their choice of cream cocktails, they're positively addictive.The place has got quite an intimate feel to it, and they've got about a hundred board games to choose from. I loved it!

Gute Cocktails, wenn auch eher auf Masse als auf Qualität ausgelegt. Das Essen kommt zu 90 Prozent aus der Tiefkühltruhe, sehr enttäuschend. Nichts für Leute, die gutes Essen schätzen.

Sidewalk cafe right across the road from the riverfront. Very complete menu for a morning snack, lunch or afternoon beer. Our tour guide told us that the typical local mid-morning snack was a pair of white sausages wi a pretzel and a Weissbier. So that is what I had. My husband ordered spaghetti Napoli with a Lowenbrau. Excellent. I looked around and the bratwurst looked good as well. If you have an ice cream lover in the group there is a window there on the patio to order from. Total cost 17 euro

We stumbled into the Kowalski after a long bike ride down the Donau. We found the place buzzing with locals and a very friendly staff that were happy to wait while we attempted to speak German. The coffee was excellent and the pastries were old world and fresh. The wifi was strong and made it possible to send emails and upload photos to Facebook!

Our Christmas get-together for work was here last week and I have mixed feelings.Cons: Our tables were spread throughout the restaurant. It was very difficult to hear anyone more than about half a meter away. Service was very slow (but friendly enough). I showed up to the party late and after 8 p.m. on a weeknight it took about 15 minutes to get a beer after ordering and close to 40 minutes to get the pulled pork plate (or "dog," which I don't understand - there was no "dog" element to it), which I picked because the only component on it that would have to have been cooked semi-recently is the fries. By the time I got the food, the fries were cold. The "homemade" barbecue sauce tasted like someone doctored some bottled barbecue sauce. There was no tang and no spice to it.Pros: The pulled pork. I spent my teenage years and part of my grad school years in Georgia and the pulled pork at Braves Mädchen would keep up with a lot of places there. The pulled pork really is what kept the visit from being in the two-star range. I may see if I can just buy a pound of pork sometime and serve it with my homemade Lexington Dip or mustard sauce. The pizzas looked really good, too.I'll give the restaurant a second chance sometime under other circumstances.
