We were visiting friends who live in Wilson and they suggested we head down to Woodcocks for cheap pizza.Got there fairly early and the outside tables were almost filled. The music was quite loud so we ventured inside and were seated at the low tables where it was quiet enough for us to have a conversation. Our server was very attentive and passed the menus, took our drink order taking time to explain the pizza special. Off he went to get our drinks. We saw other tables getting the pizza and they were full 13 inch pizzas that were too much for an individual so we ordered 2 to split. A good thing as we have pizza left for breakfast. The wood fired pizza is fantastic and delivered piping hot so we had to let it cool off before tasting it. Then, it was unanimous that the pizza was fantastic. The restaurant was quite busy, but that didnât impact on the excellent level of service. We had a great dinner and a good time. Highly recommend!

This was my first time here and I only tasted the beer and we had a wonderful experience. The Spalted Mahogany was an excellent stout and one of the best that you will find in WNY. The other beer I sampled was a cherry red ale which was a delicious, unique twist on a red ale. The service was also exceptional and I will be coming back in the future to try the food and other beers they offer. This is a great addition located on the Niagara Wine Trail. They not only offer their own beer but have a full bar, and many other guest taps of beer and a food menu. I highly recommend checking this place out when in the area.

The Lighthouse Grill seemed to be the only full service restaurant in Olcott on a Wednesday afternoon.Only about 25% full and we were seated right away.My wife ordered the grilled chicken salad and said it was good, however, looking forward to the beef on weck I was disappointed with the amount of fat and the thickness of the beef.I have never had one like that and could only eat about half the beef. The restaurant is old school 1960's and not a bad place, just a little sprucing up would do wonders and correct the beef on weck problem. The one I had at Wagner's in Lockport was outstanding.
This is a gem located only a block from the Lake Ontario waterfront. I had the best burger here and my friend raved about her ruben. The waitstaff was very friendly and helpful. During the summer it's a place that tourists crowd into and now I know why. We stopped on a whim in early October and were more than pleasantly surprised at what a wonderful lunch we had. We got an order of mac and cheese to split and I don't think I've ever had better mac and cheese anywhere else. On the quiet October afternoon that we stopped, the bar had customers chatting with the bartender, so it seems that this is also popular with local folks. It's not fancy so it's perfect for people traveling in casual clothes.
I love this local spot! It is in the back of the old fire hall, just after the bar. It is casual and more tables than booths, and a counter, as well.My husband and I LOVE their curly fries, and so far everything we have tried has been very good, tasty and done just the way we like. They are open till 8 every night, and mid week through the weekend, open for breakfast. It is only CASH so come prepared.Servers are always friendly, and helpful. Pies are all homemade and scrumptious. And butterflies adorn the walls of the women's bathroom!A mini museum is in the front of the place, before the eating parlor, and is worth stopping to see artifacts from the glory days of that fire hall.
