Went here because I heard the wings were amazing. They were large--but nothing special we didn't think. And the service, yea it wasn't very good AT ALL! I guess maybe give it another try?

This restaurant has changed hands several times over the last few years and it looks like they are still drastically in need of a manager. A restaurant this size needs more than 1 person tending the bar and three people tending the tables. The wait staff was definitely overburdened with the entire bar area full the waitresses had to get their own beverages, seat people, clear tables and I would be surprised if they weren't making some of the food.It took about 15 minutes to get a menu, another 10 for the waitress to return for drink selections and we forced her to take our order at that time. If I were not with a group of hungry people I would have walked out. That pretty much set the tone for the rest of our dining experience.When the food arrived 20 minutes later my hot Italian sandwich was no longer hot, both the french fries and the au jus cold. The waitress pretty much dropped off the food and ran off, so after 5 minutes of waiting to inform her my food was cold, her response was "Okay!" and then again she was off. I had to get her attention again to find out what her plans were to take care of the cold food. At that time she said "I put in a new order." and again was off to another task. As I ate the cool sandwich a new plate of fries and au jus were eventually delivered.Other people in my group had the chicken, pizza and supposedly famous BBQ Ribs. The deep fried chicken was the best meal at the table.After eating it took another 15 minutes to flag down the waitress to bring the check. Our plates were never cleared and we had to get to-go containers from the bar. This restaurant was visited after purchasing a Groupon and after the experience we encountered this could be considered a "once and done" type visit.

It has been years ago now, but I remember the Reuben sandwich being very good. So when I was in the area, stopped in and saw the menu item Bierstubeâs Signature Reuben, thatâs what I ordered. I was really surprised to see deli corned beef. This is a bar with an $11 sandwich that comes with chips and a pickle. From now on I will always ask- Do you cook your own corned beef? I should know better by now!

We had my sonâs birthday party here and all of the kids had a great time. It was very well organized. We arrived and were greeted with a cart to bring the gifts, coats and other things back to our party room. The kids played laser tag for half an hour and then we had pizza, cake and gift opening. Mom might have had a (great) Bloody Mary in the bar while laser tag was going on . We finished up with some time in the arcade before everyone headed home. Our party host (Sam, I think?) was awesome! Dealt with a bunch of excited and crazy eight year olds very well!

Food was as expected, good food, decent service. Had a take home order for my son, but did not get everything I ordered. When I called, was put on hold for a long while, then was hung up on. Very disappointing customer service.

This place is reminiscent of the old time Chicago neighborhood taverns but located here in the suburbs of Minnesota. The owners and waitresses are simply the best.....friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Dukes has one of the best pizza lunch buffets you'll run across. The pizza in the buffet is always fresh, hot, and they always are bringing out new flavors. Try it soon. The owner Mike is one of the community's most philanthropic guys....donating constantly to local high school sports teams and donating his facilities to fund raisers and team parties. Give them your business. You won't be disappointed.

Went here on Friday night and it was around 5:00 pm. Not really busy while we were there. We ordered a burger and the turkey sandwich. The waiter was not very friendly to us. We did get our food fairly quick but was missing an item for the turkey meal. When we ask for the missing item we were told it was not included. When we said it was he went to get a menu to show us it wasn't. But to his surprise it was listed. He sort of snarled and said he would go get it. It took about 10 minutes before he returned and never apologized for the mix up, just blamed the menu for being a typo. My burger was cooked as I requested but the turkey and gravy were overly salty. We will go back again to see if this is common for the service and food or just an exception. Will do another review after trying again.

This is a great place. Lots of great specials. The shrimp special is worth the trip on Saturday. The basket of sunnies is a treat any time. The Ruben is one of the best. The broasted chicken is ina class of its own. It is worth the trip any night. Great service and a very friendly staff.Thank you, Greg, for being "the best" customer. Our goal is to always provide an exceptional experience for our guests and it is always great when we hear that our staff has met that goal. It takes great people in the organization to get great results. Thanks again for your input.

I having been coming in more often lately as I like the way the is laid out if I am coming in solo. The one thing I noticed is the last 3 times is that their servers and bartenders are very interactive with the clientele while doing their jobs. Besides that the wings and burgers and tots are yummy. My only suggestion is that they make the beer cooler. I donât like warm beer which means I have to drink it faster or chill the glasses. Just being constructive. Great property for a bar restaurant.

Stopped at D-Spot after hearing about them in a conversation at Voyageuer Brewing Company in Grand Marais, Minnesota.I drove 35 minutes out of my way and it was well worth it! By far, the best wing place I have been to! Fresh ingredients, great service, and a clean restaurant. Average prices are $7 for 6 wings or $12 for 12 wings. Some are a bit more, but make no mistake....totally worth it. This is best bang for the buck!They have great tap beers and serve Minnesota sodas.... no Pepsi or Coke.I will be back each time I'm in the Twin Cities! I should have bought a shirt so I could advertise for them! Yes....wings are that good!
