We had the occassion to visit the Sawmill Grill after a few friends mentioned what a great experience they had there They were correctIt's a casual restaurant with several high tops in the bar/lower level, and more traditional seating on the upper levelIt started with the very pleasant hostess telling us that it would be a 40 minute wait for a table(It was exactly 40 minutes!)In addition to being very cordial, she was very organized and totally helpful to the wait staff in flipping tablesWhile waiting, we observed several of the wait staff interacting with guests with a smile, and with professionalism I don't think this was by accidentWhoever is doing the hiring, hires sharp, pleasant folks and then nutures themWe had a casual dinner of Fish and Chips, and Chicken Tenders which were both very good and really reasonably priced Their unique shaped French fries were also excellentThey have an extensive beer list with several draft choices and a gazillion cans and bottle choicesAs mentioned by others, street parking is a minor inconvenience, but one trip around the block solved our problemWe will definitely visit again

Some some good reviews online and stopped in late on rainy Saturday afternoon. Coming down the hill and spotting the place (yes, it is at the bottom of the hill) I was a little leery about going in. It looks like a small town "townie" bar with not a particularly attractive exterior. Inside, it also looks like said bar with a few locals spread out at the bar. The bartender, Elsie, and the rest of the customers were welcoming and we grabbed a small table. The menu is basically bar food but you can see from the descriptions this is food that is designed and prepared with care. I had a Whisky burger of 1/3 lb Angus beef with Gouda cheese slice and caramelized onions soaked in whisky. Delicious. My wife had French Dip that was also delightful. Both came with great fries. A great meal at a great price. We look forward to going back and trying more of the menu.

First time visitor from Penna. this past Saturday night to listen to Fast Lane play. Liked the layout of the place especially the dedicated space for the band and dancing even though it is tight. The food was good but it depends on what you order. The Rockfish bites were greasy with a strong fish taste but the mozzarella sticks were very good - breading wasn't overbearing and the cheese was very good. The highlight of the food was the pizza - one of the best we've had. It was fresh, excellent dough with very tasty toppings. Truly mouth watering. Our mixed drinks were perfectly made. Service was good. Prices were reasonable. We did think the music was way too loud for the size of the place plus the bathrooms were disgustingly dirty and with no soap. Otherwise a nice time and probably would go back again.

Backfin Blues is an American steak and seafood restaurant. Our Chef and Owner, Chef Bob Steele, will cater to any request and is the creme de la creme when it comes to professional chefs. Crab cakes, Filet au Poivre, and so many others have become staples
Perfect. Started with fire and ice appetizer, which was Ahi, wasabi, and sauce... the sweet sauce with the kick of the wasabi was the perfect balance. The fillet mignon was medium rare, and was cooked evenly, the peppercorn added great flavor without taking away from the natural flavor of the steak itself. Mashed potatoes with caramelized onion.. need I say more, nope. Best potatoes this belly ever had. The rib eye steak with blue cheese butter; melt in your mouth delicious. As for the dessert, I have never tried creme brulee, and decided to give it a go here.. it was a great dessert to top off the amazing dinner. If I could give 6 stars, I would. I'm glad we decided to have our date night here, and would definitely be back. Our server Kaitlin was awesome, she understood this girls need for the tasty rolls and dessert. If you're looking for a spectacular meal, this is the place. We can't fully express how happy this makes us! Thank you for the wonderful 5 star review! Our guest's experience means the world to us and keeps us striving for the best! Thank you for visiting and taking the time to write us feedback. We can't thank you enough! Stopped here for lunch on my way to fulfill a life long dream and it MADE THE DAY even more special. My cousin suggested it, so we stopped. I ordered the scrapple fries thinking these would be fries with scrapple on top, but, in fact, the fries were made OF SCRAPPLE and served with maple siracha sauce. TO DIE FOR. The beer and wine selections were fun and you sample for free before you buy. They also distill and serve MEAD. Honey wine! I wish I had a place like this to go to at home! LOVED IT!

A great seafood and even better hamburger tavern. we travel from Ottawa to get the best fresh ground and made on premises burgers in the North East USA see urbanspoon for and others fr
It has been a while since we went to Market St Cafe. We did so tonight because it was half-priced burger night. Robin, our bartender server, was welcoming, accommodating and facilitative of our requests. We both ordered burgers which were slighly undercooked, insufficiently seasoned with fries suffering from old oil. The plus here is that 2 burgers with fries, 2 mixed drinks and a beer we bought a bar friend had our bill total less than $18, a great value! For a once in while eatery, Market St is a good local choice.

The Nauti Goose stands two stories high at the head of the North East River, boasting excellent water views, savory seafood, and drinks for any occasion. We are conveniently located 4 miles off I95 by way of the NE Exit, 100A. Traveling by boat? We've got
I always looked forward to coming here for the creamy crab soup, but this was a terrible experience! Our waitress was rude and I had to go to the bar inside to get us a second round of drinks. We both got the burgers topped with crab and bowls of crab soup. Well, she forgot our crab soup so we had to eat it after our meals. I was soo looking forward to the delicious soup that kept me coming back, but IT WAS TERRIBLE!!! It tasted like they just added milk to the crab dip. Lastly, we get home and were sick as dogs all night, fighting over the bathroom vomiting crab!

My husband and I had a pound of steamed shrimp for an appetizer---they were amazing. Cooked to perfection! We each got burgers. Burgers were big, juicy and delicious and we couldn't finish everything. Less than $30. Waitress was wonderful--even brought refills before we thought about asking and multiple people(bartender, wait staff) checked on us and asked if there was anything else we needed, how the food was etc. We will definitely be going back!

Small new business in North East, MD. Family owned & operated. Indoor / Outdoor seating. Stop in & give us a try!!
When you drive through the"destination" Town of North East, Maryland (Cecil County)....Just off of RT#40 East and I-95 (Exit #100) on RT#272 (Main Street)...and as you near the end of Town, on your left side you will see the sign that says (Snatcher's Creekside). The building has been here for well-over a hundred years as it was originally Bailey's Feed Store. As you enter the restaurant (or sit outdoors along the small creek that makes its' way into the Northeast River and then into the Chesapeake Bay) you will find a friendly atmosphere, and a very good wait staff. In addition, the menu is remarkable in that it has a majority of selections priced below what you would expect...........And the food is very good. If you haven't tried it: You should give it a shot.

Visited on a Monday night, not very crowded in the dining room, which made for outstanding service. Our waiter, was informative, but not at all pushy. I had the Cajun seared scallops for appetizer, filet tips and seafood au poivre for dinner, while my husband had the cream of crab soup, and the filet mignon meatloaf for dinner. Dessert was bananas foster...everything, simply everything was served hot, tasted fresh and cooked to perfection. This was our fourth visit to Steak & Main, and certainly will not be our last. Well done, waiter and chef!
