Average bar & eatery.Service is average.Close to home so we go there once in awhile. The breaded cod is good.

I visited both the McHenry and Algonquin sites. Same menu. And the food tasted pretty much the same. Instead of a burger however I substituted a grilled chicken breast in the Ale house combo (BBQ sauce, bacon, onion strings, LTOP). I could taste the chicken and the BBQ sauce. Fries were lukewarm. My friendâs burger was small for $10.99 but cooked the way he likes. Saving grace was The chocolate chip skillet cookieâ-a delicious dessert for two. Staff is friendly, can be noisy at the bar if thereâs a game on.

We went to Ballydoyle recently on a Saturday night to hear a local band. They have a nice venue, with a large stage and a decent dancefloor. And the acoustics were good. They do have a cover charge when the bands are playing. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The drinks were reasonably priced (better than I expected). There were lots of TV's to watch the games. We'll be back next time the band is there

We were greeted immediately we arrived and warmly. Asked what type of table/tv we would like and did we need a certain tv channel to view. Wow...... A+ customer service. Love it!They had $3 mimosa special and bloody Maryâs. Canât beat that and they were really good too. You could actually taste the alcohol. Server was wonderful. Chatty, confident and knowledgeable. We had just arrived here from a bad lunch experience (read my other review) so this was a refreshing experience . Burger was awesome, but fries were lame. Will swap next time for the sweet fries that was super crispy and flavorful on the burger. All in all a great experience, except for the bathrooms!!!! Clearly you ran out of money for that part of the makeover....... very disappointing. Hence the 4 star review not 5. Also, watch out for the big pot holes in the car park!Join their email list. Specials all the time. We will be back.

Pub 56, in Aurora, IL, is the area's leading restaurant serving Warrenville, North Aurora, West Chicago, Naperville, Geneva and surrounding areas since 2016. We offer Kobe burgers, smoked meats, beef brisket, ribs, pulled pork, pizza, buffalo shrimp, soup
After touring FermiLab about three miles away, we landed here mostly because my best buddy enjoys beer and appreciates a broad range of choices. Watch out because the restaurant is in a very long strip mall with few entrances. You can easily miss one and overshoot. Limited parking out front is shared with other venues in the mall but there's more parking around back. My buddy ordered an Alaskan ale he'd previously consumed at the Alaska brewery (!) and a Cuban sandwich. I got their Hickory Bacon BBQ burger and a diet cola. We use these Buddy Day lunches as time to catch up with each other's lives once a month and this lunch was no exception. The waiter was patient and gave us the time we needed on both ends of actually eating. Even though I ate my burger upside down (the proper way to prevent the bottom of the bun from disintegrating from natural juices and toppings), my burger was so moist that juices still dripped onto the plate. The bacon was crisp and the onion strings on the sandwich provided extra flavor. I was served extra BBQ sauce on the side which I used for fry dipping. The amount of fries was mediocre. I almost swapped in onion rings for an extra $1.50 but was glad I didn't, expecting I'd have only gotten a few. BTW, their onion ring side dishes (small and large) are not on the menu! Our waiter provided two bills (very nice) and refilled my soft drink twice without being prompted (which says his customer radar was working well). I'd go back and maybe try the onion rings instead of those fries.

Been here many times for both lunch and dinner, but especially like the lunch menu and service at that time of day. Good service, friendly and efficient staff. Good lunch food variety that is well prepared and delivered promptly. If you're on a lunch time schedule, it's within reason.

GCH had a really nice beer selection, with multiple sizes for most draft beers, but I generally don't drink at dinner on weeknights. For my meal I had a chicken sandwich with lettuce, tomato, mushroom, and mayo. It was delicious, as were the fries. Our server was wonderful. The atmosphere was nice, especially the covered porch outside (we didn't sit there as it was rainy). Prices were reasonable - Tuesday night they had $5 burgers.

Stopped for lunch after bowling with 5 of friends. The service was excellent and the food is excellent. I had sausage sandwich which was very tasty. The rest had the beef brisket which was very good. A couple had the chili which was flavorful. Prices very reasonable and good sized portions. This is a hidden gem worth trying!

We were there early evening and enjoyed every minute. Seems most weeknights and some weekends they have specials. Our special was all drafts $2.00 and Chicken tenders 89 cents. We had the fried pickles which were huge; I had the chicken tenders and ordered 5, I could only finish 3 they were so great. My husband had the Cuban Panini and stated it was the best he has ever had. We've always driven passed Bulldogs but now it has become our 'go to' place.Bonnie, Thank you so much for your amazing review!! We greatly appreciate it and hope to see you in again soon!!

I have visited Two Brothers Roundhouse on several occasions recently, hoping that the food would improve. It is a great space in an historic building. Alas, the food has gotten worse and this is a shame. The last entree I had there (fish) was pathetic. It was worse than high school cafeteria food. And, my wife's selection (pasta) was only slightly better, but still well below acceptable. And the beer, though good, was barely chilled. The appetizers have tended to be slightly better but the point is why is the food so bad and why can they not get this right?! I realize that Aurora is not the gastronomical center of the universe, but there is no excuse for poorly prepared, unappetizing food. We have noticed that fewer people seem to be in the restaurant each time we have been there, usually always at dinnertime. Finally, the wait staff do not seem to be well trained. On two occasions, they were not familiar with several items on the menu. I certainly will not be going back for another bad meal.
