We've visited Joe's three times during the last two months and found the service and food to leave a lot to be desired. The service has been slow each time even when not busy. Refilling drinks are an after thought and the servers tend to disappear for long periods of time. On one visit I ate my entire meal waiting for the server to appear so I could ask for a refill. Only when she presented the bill and saw my empty glass did she offer me a drink "to go". On one visit we ordered an appetizer which was delivered at the same time as our main entree. On our last visit there were four of us and one plate (hot ham & cheese) had sat long enough for the cheese to congeal. The BBQ nachos appetizer was very small, contained very little meat and was a total disappointment. The four of us each ordered a sandwich, shared one appetizer and three sodas and the bill was $69 before tip. We eat out frequently and believe in giving restaurants several chances even when it doesn't hit the mark the first or second time and feel we have given them a fair chance to earn our repeat business but have failed.

This is a neighborhood bar and grill that caters to a rough-around-the-edges everyday crowd, but no one here is looking for trouble: they are rather looking for, and finding, great burgers (see the other reviews - they really are pretty darn good) and bar food at excellent prices, service that (while it can get overwhelmed) hustles, a slot machine or two, a few drinks, and a fenced-in beer garden with plenty of room to smoke and socialize.A great place to stop for a long lunch on the weekend.

My friends and I graduated from ISU many years ago, but we still make it back to town a couple times a year for a football and/ or a basketball game. Our visits always include a visit to the Pub II for some dependably good grub and cold beer. Maybe we'll make other plans on our future visits. This latest visit on 9/8/2018 was a total bust. Several of us ordered patty melts and these were the worst turds on toast any of us had seen probably ever. They were very dry and had no flavor. Other guys in our party were disappointed with their food as well. The other problem was the lousy service. Our waitress floated around the room largely ignoring our group and seldom followed through on her infrequent promises to bring us things that we requested. Going to the bar was not the solution either. There had to have been nine people "working" behind the bar, but none of them could be bothered to check on what I might need while I stood at the bar for what seemed like 20 minutes. It wasn't that they were overly busy. It was more like they just didn't give a crap. Later in the evening we ended up at a bar in Bloomington called Kearney's. This place was fun, the service was friendly and efficient and it was a good time. I'd recommend people go to this place instead.

Always rated this place number one for wings in blono. Had delivery everything was good except for the wings. They were very small not seaoned well and were not hot. Will probably try again but only because it was always hood in the past. Hope this is not this place trending down.

Our waitstaff was lacking even moderate attention I understand that not all time issues in a restaurant fall upon the server but she should will keep her customers aware of the kitchen debacles (if there were such). A burger (the Geddy) and a Ham & Cheese sandwich ...even with onion rings (very good) should not take 40+ minutes from order. Before getting to the table - without anything from the service staff explaining what's up.So summary.Food tasty.

Thee best place in town for pizza and craft beers. The owner is super friendly and runs a great restaurant. Been going there for years and the beer menus keeps changing. Pizzas are all great.

Repeat patron - so many sandwich combinations to try. Every one has been an incredible taste treat. If you like pickles, order the sandwich "fully loaded." A large choice of condiments available. We visited this restaurant on a Thursday evening while on a convention visit in Bloomington-Normal. My wife, who doesnt eat beef or pork, ordered the stuffed chicken but was informed they were all out of stuffing! She got some chicken tenders, which were merely ok. I got the bangers and mash. The potatoes were ok, but the sausages were skinny little links and disappointing. I would have liked to have seen some more vegetable options on the menu besides mashed potatoes. We will not be going back.

Cool vibe and we love the history. Service was above average and food was phenomenal! I had the BLT flatbread- probably the best flatbread Iâve ever eaten. Hubbyâs seafood Alfredo was also amazing.

I've been going here for over 3 decades and it's STILL my favorite family go-to when I'm in town. This place is known for alot of things, including their fried mushrooms and fried ravioli, but it's the magnificent A La Baldini pizza that always brings me back time and again! It's a great place for friends, family, and couples.
