Niedzica [ɲeˈd͡ʑit͡sa], (Slovak: Nedeca, German: Netzdorf, Hungarian: Nedec) is a resort town in Nowy Targ County of Lesser Poland province, Poland, located on the banks of Lake Czorsztyn. It is famous for Niedzica Castle, also known as Dunajec Castle, an important centre of Polish-Hungarian relations built between the years 1320 and 1326 on foundations of a prehistoric roost. Originally, the village almost exclusively inhabited by the Slovak ethnic group (part of Hungary, between 1939 and 1945 belonged to Slovakia) was in 1920 and again in 1945 affiliated to Poland. The town lies approximately 6 kilometres (4 mi) north-east of Łapsze Niżne, 21 km (13 mi) east of Nowy Targ, and 75 km (47 mi) south of the regional capital Kraków.

Podczas naszej ostatniej wizyty bylismy bardzo wdzieczni za pyszne przysmaki i wyjatkowa goscinnosc personelowi Bacowki ,jednak zapomnielismy podziekowac p.Malgosi szefowej kuchni bo to z pod jej reki wychodza na stol swojsko przyrzadzane przysmaki. Pani Malgosiu tak trzymac ! Dziekujemy

Localization of this place is really good. U can feel the atmosphere of skiing, there is a good view. Food was average and there is no table service.

Located in newest wing of Camaldolese Order monastery, called Cerveny Klastor (Red Monastery) in a village of the same name. In high season it can be very busy, with visitors pouring in from every direction, including across the river Dunajec and state border, from Poland. Major attraction an major hiking/bicycle trails junction helps this business a lot. Supposedly after the season very quiet or even closed. It is more like fast food outlet than a proper restaurant, though they got some restaurant dishes in card. Food orders taken by the counter, or no one from staff bothered to come to us. Food delivered reasonably quick, and it wasn't bad at all. It would help a lot, if they sported non-smoking policy in their outdoor seating, but they don't, so we were roasted as much as our dinner. Normally I wouldn't reccommend, but this is probably the only option for a quite a distance, unless you want to walk for about 2 km to Polish side of the river, with bigger choice of restaurants (we never tried them) - those in Cerveny Klastor village (not to be confused with the monastery) seemed to be closed on the day we were there (long weekend in Poland, massive numbers of tourists, very nice weather).

Podczas naszego pobytu codziennie staraliśmy się jeść obiad w innym miejscu i ten lokal oceniamy wysoko. Przede wszystkim w miarę przystępne ceny, do tego blisko centrum, no i najważniejsze - smaczna pizza. Wiadomo, każdy lubi coś innego, ale nam naprawdę smakowało. Pizzę mają tylko w jednym rozmiarze, ale dość spory wybór rodzajów. Polecamy.
