An all-new gathering place for craft beer enthusiasts, cocktail connoisseurs, and food fanatics located in historic Beacon, NY. #melzingahtaphouse
Someone suggested trying this place for Sunday brunch, so we did. Now when I think of Sunday brunch I think of a quiet, relaxing time with good food. This place is not that. It was packed with young people, most drinking and all talking loudly. Very loudly. It was so loud that it was difficult to hear across a small table. The eggs Benedict were very disappointing. It was served in small black skillets â one for the eggs and one for potato hash. The two skillets were brought out on blocks of wood which appeared to be unsanitary. They were not coated and no one wanted to put their utensils down on them. The potato hash was greasy and the eggs Benedict a mess. The hollandaise sauce was tasteless, the eggs too runny and it was served not with Canadian bacon, but with prosciutto. Plus, the whole mess was bathed in tasteless spinach soufflé. This was not supposed to be eggs Florentine (which is on the menu), but traditional eggs Benedict. Please do not fool with the food! Being creative is one thing, but this was being destructive. Besides this insipid, greasy combination they served two pieces of bread with small portions of banana bread, cinnamon butter, some kind of jam, and hummus. The banana bread and the cinnamon butter were decent, but that was all. Nothing else could be called decent. The hummus would make any Middle Eastern restaurant weep. Plus the water was warm. No ice. And the chairs were metal and very hard. They also have those high tables that they tried to seat us at, but with bad hips, back and legs, getting seated at one and then getting down is a risky proposition. This place is clearly not the type of place for older people to go who want a quiet Sunday brunch or want good food. More of a noisy, bar scene type of place. Donât go for the food!

A Theme Restaurant named Orange County Choppers Cafe along side Orange County Choppers in The Hudson Valley Region with Live Entertainment, 16 Premium Beers on Tap, A Four Lane Bowling Alley, Kids and Adult Games and a OCC Retail Store & Chopper Display,
It took half an hour to order something to drink and waitress said not to order food as kitchen backed up! We ordered food which was delicious when it finally arrived. Real treasure seeing the customized motorcycles and the band Direct Drive was great. Place just needs good management.

The specials are just that - special creations which you might only get once. Which is good and sad at the same time. I loved the scallops skewers. Wish I wouldâve ordered one more. Last week I returned but the days special was tuna tartar, which was good but not as good as the scallops. The drinks and the attention were also better with who I assume was the owner or manager, her name was Kim. Last week the bartender a young guy was good, friendly but initially when I came in and made direct eye contact with him he went to the opposite end of the bar to grab a bite. He eventually came over and was super cool. But it felt a bit odd. Nonetheless this place is worth visiting, I enjoyed the tuna and loved the scallops. Plenty of quality margaritas to choose from. Iâve tried plenty. Looking forward to returning in the near future.

Step down into an old time bar with new beer and a tasty menu. Had a daily special of venison and bacon sliders, (very good), and a nice stout from the offerings written on boards above the bar. Other meals at the table were hamburgers and a chicken pot pie - all very good. Server was excellent and had the rare talent of memorizing the order without writing it down - she impressed us... Definitely worth a try, donât expect tablecloths.

Good selection of quality craft beers but had some hiccups both times I was there. First time one bartender told me there were no flights being served because they expected a crowd from HV Brewery. This turned out to be false and the other bartender gladly served us our flights. The second time, the beer was warm. The bartender, who happened to be the same one who wouldn't serve us flights, apologized and did not charge us. Want to recommend but its hard because of the issues I have had there.

Hadnât eaten at Gus:s for years. Stopped in for lunch/dinner today. Very good and very reasonable prices. I donât think the roast pork was as tender as it once was, but it was good. We will be back. Suggestion. German music not really necessary but turn down the volume of the soul and R&R.

Food is ok? at best and drinks are cheap. When here keep it short and simple because it will just tack onto your wait time.

Newburgh Brewing is one of our favorite destinations. Located on the top floor the view of the river is amazing and the wide open space has something for everyone. You can go there during the day with your family and hang out while having a couple of beers as they have cornhole, fooseball, and tons of board games for the kids. Or, you can go at night and have a great time. Very large tv for watching a game and huge long tables so there is plenty of room. Great place!

We had just come from a strenuous 3 hour hike on Storm King Mtn and drove into Beacon in need of some refreshment. Max's was the first place we stumbled on from where we parked. Midafternoon on a Monday, there were a few customers at the bar and one large party. They had a large TV showing some tennis and inexpensive beers. We also did order some hummus and pita. Prices were low, service was very slow with only one bartender/waitperson on staff.
