Situated on excellent biking routes, we pulled off the road to go to the bakery opposite but were disappointed that they were closing. The owner of this bar then offered to open up so that we could all have a coffee! It was a hot day and the cool interior was a treat to the senses. The bar, being an old ice cellar was cool and felt like we had gone back in time too. Excellent hospitality. The door is behind an old toy shop ( could change ) and down some steps. Worth trying to find.

The restaurant is shining by its new style. The menu presents local courses as well as vegetarian and international ones. By nice weather, relax on the terrace and let the chidlren enjoy the playground and its air cushion.

This restaurant was a really unexpected bonus. It is situated at a campsite, but also has a few 'hotel' rooms available, The restaurant decor is modern but comfortable. There are different menus to choose from ranging from simple, but delicious food for the whole family to a gourmet menu. It is all prepared beautifully and they have a wine list to die for! The restaurant is well-known in the area, so booking at the weekend for dinner is a good idea. The restaurant is open all day and in good weather they have a small terrace at the back. If you like walking, it is a great place to park the car, go for a wonderful walk and then treat yourself to lunch.

This is a great little bar to have a relaxing drink while watching the world go by. The bar is in a super location on the busy square. We were in Bernkastel for 3 nights and visited this bar every day.
