We chose to visit Veets because it was across the street from the Renaissance. It was so convenient and TA reviews were positive. We weren't disappointed. The Saturday night band was The Family Jewels, They started with some nice bluesie, toe tapping tunes and progressed to Tom Petty era plus wedding style dance standbys. The mostly local crowd visited and danced and made us feel welcome. Veet's does not serve food, but you can pop next door and order greasy spoon fare, which the restaurant will deliver to you. Worth it just for the people watching.

Large portions and great food. Had the Beef tips over rice (the daily special for 8.99) along with two sides. All side are good especially greens, mac and cheese and fried okra. Had a large portion of tips enough to take some home. Usually get the fried pork chops--two large chops and two sides for 8.99.

Came to hear some jazz and had dinner. Great dive atmosphere - good service - wonderful hamburger!! Music was upstairs and there's another bar up there.

We arrived in Mobile on a Sunday and asked our concierge for a recommendation for a dinner restaurant. She immediately suggested TP Crockmiers and weâ re glad she did. After a short stroll Dow Dauphin St-which is reminiscent of New Orleans French Quarter, we arrived at TPâs. What a beautiful place! The wood paneling, the majestic staircase, and the magnificent bar were all amazing. Their martinis were served in a one of a kind metal martini âglassâ that is kept cold in ice before serving. Great classic martini! The menu offers a lot choices. We had fried green tomatoes as an appetizer-very good. For the main course we ordered the Hand cut rib eye and the Shrimp Oliver. The Rib eye was perfect and the garlic butter white wine sauce on the Shrimp Oliver was delicious. The atmosphere was relaxed and the wait staff was very polite and attentive. Go there if you visit Mobile!

This place has it all! Variety of menu items and the sushi is fantastic! Inside seating with cold AC and a bar and a large covered outdoor seating area with a pergola. Outside bar with a few TV, fans blowing and nice outdoor atmosphere. I got the top shelf strawberry basil margarita and it was incredible! There was blackberry mint and probably at least 6 more. Also got an appetizer of Rangoonâs. Came with a sweet heat dipping sauce. Served hot and crunchy and plenty of filling. I will def be back!

The restaurant has a familiar atmosphere, the menu a la carte is not very wide but has some good choice of fish and meat. I had one of the best filet mignon of my life and the Raw Tuna Martini was an excellent choice.Service was fair, overall cost in the average

Had lunch here today and ordered the Butch Cassidy burger. Other party ordered the Monday special of Red Bean and Conch sausage. I now understand how this was voted best burger in Mobile! Grilled bun, fresh tomato slices, dill pickles, cheese and crispy bacon....heaven on a bun! The fries (ordered crispy) were perfect. My dad left nothing on his plate of Red Beans and the piece of Conch sausage was probably 9" long! Shannon, our server, kept the tea glasses full!

I love Irish pubs and this one did not disappoint. We came for the food and we shared a blackened shrimp poâboy and the bacon cheeseburger. Both were really well done. I wish they had real chips (fries) instead of potato chips, would be my only recommendation. Service was awesome. The place was packed inside and out due to it being a holiday weekend and we paid a 10$ cover because their was a band playing. I was a little worried that we wouldnât find a table but we didnât have any trouble in the back of the place. The band was fabulous (southern rock and a little Johnny Cash). I mean really really blew me away. Worth the cover. I would definitely go back if ever visiting Mobile again.
