We popped in for a quick lunch and both had burgers. Blue burger add avocado...ahhh soo good! Sweet potato fries. Hubby had Classique with regular fries. Both burgers were gone!!! Regular fries were even better than sweet potato ones! We will be back!!

Went here twice this week while in the KC area for work. Both times had the CPI try fried chicken with Mashed potatoes and white gravy. Solid meal, perfect both times. Had a group of 7 the first time and 13 the second time. Everyone was happy with the food and service.

We each ordered burgers medium rare. They were perfectly prepared. The burgers are prepared using a custom blend of beef brisket, short ribs, and chuck tenderloin. This mixture assures a juicy, tasty burger. There were enough beer choices for every palate. We really enjoyed our dinner.Note: We ate relatively early and were seated immediately. By the time we finished our meal, every seat in the restaurant was taken! This is a testament to the quality and popularity of the establishment.

We have been in search of good local pizza and were so happy to find $5 pizza (offered Friday and Saturday). We also enjoyed Free State craft brews on tap (16 oz for $5). It is a local hangout with friendly service and clean restrooms.

A new brewery is in town and close to my location. A group of friends tried this new place. They have a variety of styes of beers named after Kansas native birds. The brewery is in Hutchinson, KS. It is the first time I have heard of a microbrewery opening a second location in the different part of the state. Hours are Thurs-Fri from 3 pm to 10 pm and Saturday from 12 noon to 10 pm. They do have a limited bar food menu in part for a state requirement. The other interesting thing is they do not accept tips. The notice is they pay their staff a good wage. Any tips left are donated to a local charity. Decor is sparse/modern like a lot of microbrewerys. It does include B&W native birds on the wall. You can get samples of beer before deciding which beers you want to try. I did try a sour and IPA but opted for Gose they had on tap. They have been open for six weeks, and at least on Friday afternoon of Memorial Weekend they were pretty full. I wish them much success!
