Had lunch here the lamb was very good and the bed of mash potato very good also beer on tap local brew was of good quality nice spot in the country for a meal and no loud music

Patronised this pub at 1230 on a Friday. About 15 people in the public bar. It took me 15-20 mins to get served. Just hopeless. They seemed more interested in serving in the Bistro then the bar. Never again.

This is a great restaurant with a nice atmosphere, despite the fact there weren't many people there on a mid-week night. The service was fantastic and the owners knowledge of the local wines was impressive. The menu was limited and nothing really 'grabbed me', I went with the vegetarian pasta and was very disappointed. It lacked flavour and was quite gluggy. I would definitely go back again and try something else, but I'd love to see a new menu with some more unique menu items.

Meals still good but the move to the bistro room seems to have coincided with a drop in the hotel Service has also slipped and consistently difficult to get served even when you have to go to the counter signalling too few staff

Had lunch here with friends and was pleasantly surprised. Had the flake and chips and it was lovely. Service was fast and the staff very friendly. OK range of wine but I think the beer list is bigger. Only negatives, no atmosphere, and the tables are placed far too close together. Having said that, this is a place I will return to.
