Nick's Sports Grill and Lounge on 98th is a local favorite serving delicious food and providing a wonderful atmosphere to enjoy your favorite games! If you're in the area, check out our other location, Nick's at the Overton.
Just returned from Nick's Sports Bar (1 May 2017)... Ordered drinks and an appetizer to be followed by chicken salad and quesadillos... The waitress FORGOT our main order. We waited over 45 minutes. And she didn't even comp the drinks or appetizers. Honestly, I have never had this happen in my >50-year old life. What a joke.

Went there on a Sunday night. I heard the food was good, but I only had a soft drink and the popcorn. Nothing special about the popcorn however. People I was with really liked the fried pickles. The best thing about the place for me was the extra room you had between the rows. Did not have to move for people getting in and out. The service was pretty good. They refilled my popcorn without me requesting it. Overall, pretty nice, but you paid for it with a little higher price than the regular movie theatre. Oh, yeah I really liked that I did not have to watch 10 movie previews before the main show started.

"Cold Beer,Big Burgers,Hot Music"! Caprock Cafe opened in 1997, and is a fun and casual cafe with friendly service, great Texas atmosphere, and an enclosed patio. The menu features char-broiled burgers, Tex-Mex, and lots of spicy appetizers. Caprock Cafe
My wife and I met some friends here during our most recent trip to Lubbock. I have eaten at the 34th street location several times and have never had a bad meal meal there. I felt the good and service were both lacking at this location. I donât recommend getting the chicken tenders. They were hard and tasteless, even with gravy. In a positive note, the Schooners were very cold and the chips and salsa were above average.I am so sorry you had a poor experience. Our management team at that location is very experienced and would have been happy to replace the chicken tenders which are normally very good. For the poor service I also apologize, as our staff is trained the same for both locations but as hard as we try sometimes a "stinker" emerges after training, usually due to some personal trauma. No excuse, as the restaurant industry is street theater, and we need to be professional at all times. Please give us another try. And thanks for the feedback even though it saddens me we failed you. I will pass this on to the management there and we will get better.

Nick's is an upscale sports bar, with great food and great service. We have 43 HDTVs. A large patio that is partially covered, with full service and 4 Tv's.
First off, the staff here is incredibly friendly and helpful. That's about the only thing going for it. The rest of the experience - imagine walking into a dimly lit Best Buy with the everything ripped out of it except a series of huge TVs hanging from a grid. The place is a gigantic concrete cavern. The food is almost as depressing. I'm not sure they actually cook it as much as unwrap it, throw it in a microwave and bring it over. I was going to wash it down with a Manhattan but I think they made it with Coca Cola and after that foul, it was time to punt.

I remembered a co-worker telling me about this place over a year ago and finally decided to try it out. The gas and oil signs outside brought back childhood memories. The inside is large and spacious. Has an outside patio area for smoking (enclosed in winter) so we didnât tarry there. We Ordered the chicken fried chicken sandwich and the classic burger. Husband got onion straws (not frozen) and I got crinkle cut fries. The CFC sandwich even came with gravy!!! Food was so good! The manager took a moment to visit with us when we told her it was our first time. They have entertainment each night on their stage. Just a neat atmosphere and good food! A bit off the beaten path, but worth the drive.

Why this place is rated 28th is beyond me!! Itâs a friendly environment with plenty of tvs tthroughout the place not just in the bar area. The staff was super attentive. Our waitress, Nicole, was super - sheâs been there almost from itâs opening 2 years ago. The food was excellent as always ( we live in Louisiana )! I canât say enough about this place - it was worth the 30 minute wait at prime time! We had the hickory burger and was so stuffed - there was no room for dessert! Bon Appetiteâ!
