Little River (also known as Littleriver, Bells Harbor, and Kents Landing) is a small census-designated place in Mendocino County, California. It lies at an elevation of 66 feet (20 m). It is located two miles (3 km) south of the town of Mendocino and running along the Pacific Ocean coast on State Route 1. The town is home to several hundred people and takes its name from nearby Little River. The town center sits on a scenic bluff overlooking the mouth of Little River and hosts a grocery store, two gas pumps, a post office, and a restaurant within a single structure. The population was 117 at the 2010 census.

Weâve been to Pattersonâs probably 5 or 6 times and have always enjoyed it (thus the repeat visits). This last visit was for drinks only at 4:00 ... sat at the bar and were seen to by a very friendly woman. We were engaged almost immediately in good conversation with our bar mates ... A very eclectic bunch (including us!). If you enjoy a COLD beer and interesting folk ... dis is da place!

We were looking for a pub to relax in during our stay at The Seagull Inn. We stumbled across Dick's Place, and loved the atmosphere there. We sat next to an artist's model of the pub as it was in 2012, and appreciated the attention to detail. The "resident transient" in the model was actually sitting in the exact spot depicted in the model! The bartender was a bit gruff at first (I think he was from New York originally), but responded to my Scottish charm by recommending a lager called Anderson Valley Gold. This is now my favorite beer, and I am grateful to him for introducing me.

The beautiful mahogany bar with its carved griffins sets the stage for a great evening nightcap with friends - the mixologists here have their act together! Service is friendly and the food is excellent, too! Love stunning glass ceiling and the cool settee in the window.
