A village inn in Rake, near Liss, the Flying Bull has a traditional pub and restaurant serving homemade meals for lunch and dinner. Free on-site parking and free Wi-Fi are available, and Petersfield town centre is 5 miles away. The Flying Bull serves clas

Impressively restored, The Station House sits on the hill opposite Haslemere train station. The original Victorian inn has been styled to reflect a French brassiere while celebrating its railway heritage. The decor incorporates splashes of bold colours, l
We booked here because they accept dogs. This cuts the choice of hotel considerably so I felt the Station House was a compromise and when we first arrived I was filled with dread. It looks nothing special, it was quite late on a Friday night and there was karaoke But the moment my head hit the pillow my opinion could not have changed more. The room was small but nicely decorated and we had our own entrance, which was great for the dog and access to the car park at the rear. The bed was soooo comfortable. I slept later than Iâve slept for years. Great to have air conditioning and blackout curtains. A really quiet room and absolutely no sound from the karaoke in the downstairs bar. Breakfast was really fantastic the next day. We both had full English. We were staying three nights. Next morning we had eggs benedict which was equally good and the final morning the scrambled egg with avocado... fab. Tania was friendly and in fact all the staff were super nice and helpful. With great beds, friendly staff and delicious breakfast, whatâs not to like for the price?

Had a great lunch at the Black Fox. Really welcoming traditional English pub with restaurant quality food. Our fish with whitebait, wine and chourico sauce was out of this world. would come back again for a meal!

For a more relaxed drinking or eating environment â with a sporting theme, naturally â the popular Sports Bar is a winner. Whether you require an ice-cold beer to quench your thirst after a round on our stunning 18-hole championship golf course, or a burg
We came here a week ago to find a minimal menu and were told a new menu was launching this week hence they were running down stock. We accepted this and the poor quality food that followed. However, the anticipated ânew menu is virtually identical to the old menu except everything is a pound more! The salmon was over cooked and, therefore dry as a cork. The burger was disgusting. It hung limply sandwiched between two halves of a huge, stale dry bun with only a lettuce leaf to garnish it. weirdly, if you want mayo then you have to ask for it as it isnât readily available like the other sauces. Iâd avoid eating here unless you want to compromise to watch the footy. Be aware though that on big game nights a very minimal menu is offered. Bad show âOld Thornsâ Dear Ms. Naive,Really sorry to read this review. This will be addressed with the Chef. Terribly sorry.

I would consider myself âa regularâ, and am never disappointed. The menu on this visit was particularly good, with lots of interesting salads (as well as the old favourites) which is what you want in spring/summer. Visiting earlier in the week meant it wasnât too busy, and the service and food were excellent.

A busy, friendly country pub serving real ales and great locally sourced food, freshly cooked to order.
I love coming to this pub. Its tucked away along a sleepy lane in the back end of Haslemere and borders the old Military training areas. Setting off from the pub carpark onto the heath we were greeted by a few deer within a few hundred meters, it is a really tranquil setting. When you enter the pub the blue white decor is modern without taking away from the character of the pub. The tables are clean and the waiting staff polite and friendly. The main reason for my visits is the Sausage and Mash, its simple food but done so incredibly well that leave you craving more each visit. I will certainly be back :)

Iâve had food before here and wasnât impressed however if you drink spirits or lager this might be the pub for you. However the owner doesnât know how to keep real ales. Lifeless and v poor. A real jobs worth landlord - get the impressions it more about the bucks than the customers. But most of all I tried both tea and Timothy Taylor and couldnât finish either. Iâve been a few times under the current owners and never again. Better pubs in Haslemere - get the train enjoy life more

With stripped pine decor, a crackling open fire and muddy boots by the door â The Links Tavern is the quintessential country pub. Settle down to fabulous food and an array of real ales, served up in the cosy, welcoming surroundings of Liphookâs best pub.
Initial impressions were not so good, as barman seemed to be more interested in talking to customers, than attending usThen it improved. Food was good quality, and service was OK, although we had to go to the bar to order drinks, rather than at TableThank you for very much for your review, following your recent visit to The Links.Apologies that your initial impression wasn't so good, but we are glad to hear that you saw an improvement.Customer Service is at the forefront of our business and staff regularly receive refresher training in this field. If you were sitting in the bar area, unfortunately this is not an area to receive table service. However, if you were sitting in our restaurant, then table service is available to you.We look forward to seeing you again soon. Many thanks, Nicky

The Deers Hut is a quintessential English pub with excellent dining, situated in the heart of the countryside at Griggs Green, yet easily accessible from the A3 south of Liphook. Originally built as a Queen Anne Hunting Lodge in the 1600's, this delightfu
All three of us eating said our main courses and desserts were superb. Service was attentive, friendly, fast and faultless. We have been here a number of times before, but only sitting outside in the summer, so we already knew that the food was consistently good but today noticed the atmosphere inside, interior design and table settings were so nice. Even our guest commented on what a lovely place it was. Highly recommended and worthy of the praise they recieve.
