We visited Limburg a couple of weeks ago and we decided to have a brief lunch here before taking our train back. The day was pleasant and we ate out (in a small but peculiar square)Since we had little time we tried only a specialty, Flammkuche, without tasting more complex recipes (which are available in a different menu and which, according to what I saw from other tables looked tasty and abundant). This Alsatian specialty was excellent: crunchy pastry and savoury filling. Service was rather slow, because there was only one person for many clients, but this testifies a) that the place has a familiar conduction and b) that even a simple dish is made freshly and, so to say, express! This was confirmed by the fact that when I entered to pay I saw a woman (perhaps the waitress' mother) who was preparing other tartes flambées at the moment. To sum up: a very nice place to stay and have either a snack or a full lunch.

Nice cafe. Perfect location â next to âCafé Meloniâ and âEiscafe Veneziaâ, just on the main square in the historic center and not far from the Dome. Limburg is generally a small town. But though I should note two drawbacks. First, they do not accept credit cards. However, for Germany it is quite common. Secondly, the staff (very friendly, by the way) has apparent difficulties with English. Although this can be seen as a good sign â it means that cafe focused on locals who composed the majority of visitors. Perhaps another reason is that the overall restaurant bill is not so expansive for you. In principle, it is rather a pub. But, however, you wonât be hungry. The food is delicious, except that their famous brand of green Frankfurter sauce, I didnât enjoy it enthusiastically. But two other local specialties that I decided to try â "Handkäs mit Musik" and "Döppekooche" - were really excellent, especially the latter. It's amazing what a tasty dish can be made with potatoes and sausages.

Heute waren wir wieder in Roxy's Küch zum Frühstücken.Es war wie immer sehr lecker' frisch und ausreichend .Das Personal war super freundlich und aufmerksam! Wie können Roxy's Küch nur weiterempfehlen!

5. Bar Tripoli

Zufällig landeten wir im kleinen, hübschen AuÃenbereich des Tripoli, da es uns überall ansonsten zu laut und zu voll war mit groÃen, teilweise sehr lärmenden Gruppen. Diese haben im Tripoli keinen Platz. :-) Die Weinbar ist familiengeführt, alle sehr, sehr nett und zuvorkommend, es war vom Publikum auch für uns perfekt, relaxt, gute Unterhaltung und Stimmung. Sowohl auÃen als auch innen ist das Tripoli geschmackvoll vor kurzem komplett renoviert worden. Wir hatten das Glück, einen Blick in den tollen alten Gewölbekeller werfen zu dürfen.Es gibt natürlich eine gute Auswahl an Weinen, tollen Saft und an Antipasti, italienischer Salami- und Schinkensorten und... und..Die Theke mit den köstlichen Sachen wurde bei unserem Aufenthalt mehrmals auch von Leuten besucht, die sich eine Auswahl für zuhause holten.Obwohl wir eigentlich nur kurz einen Espresso trinken wollten, sind wir dort glücklich und zufrieden hängen geblieben und vermissten kein Abendessen woanders.Zum Abschied bekamen wir sogar ein kleines Fläschchen Olivenöl geschenkt, das wir zuhause sehr genossen haben. Vielen Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt, bestimmt kommen wir bei unserem nächsten Aufenthalt wieder!(Leider habe ich vor lauter guter Unterhaltung versäumt, ein Foto zu machen...)
