All out of wines, except for box wine. Why leave my house if Iâm going to drink cheap wine? Wait staff was rude and explained theyâre trying to get rid of wine here. My friends drink hard liquors, so Iâm including a photo of what they were able to enjoy.Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are always looking for ways to improve our offerings and service. Your review brought to our attention the need to be able to provide a better wine selection for our guests, and not from a box. We have since expanded our selection to include more of a variety, and hopefully we will be able to accommodate more of our guests needs.

There are lots of places to eat in this city, but we picked this place because it is at the start of the block. Our server Travis was most hospitable and we enjoyed his stories and recommendations. Other patrons were not speaking English and looked as if they were enjoying also.Had the Sirloin Cheddar Burgers which were most enjoyable. Travis recommended the Redass Rhubarb wine. It was really different and enjoyable.

Asked if any specials and he just gave me a menu. Ignored me for the first 5 minutes. Paid for my one beer and left. Places like this really need to work on customer service. As of now, I wouldnât step foot into this place again.

We stopped by Bob's many times during our one month stay in Deadwood. Bob is very friendly, and serves up a great burger and some awesome fries. I'm sure all the food is good, but can only comment on the burgers as we ordered them each time. Definitely recommend if you are in the black hills Lead area.

We were staying at the Spearfish Canyon Lodge right across the road, so we first came for lunch. We were here during the season when itâs too late for summer vacations and too early for winter sports, so we were the only patrons in the restaurant for lunch. Donât let the lack of a crowd scare you away. I had trout almandine with a lemon butter sauce over corn cakes. Iâve rarely eaten trout this tasty and perfectly cooked. The corn cakes are a little spicy, but delicious. My wife had a cup of buffalo stew, which was also a little tangy, but not too. She also had a side of corn cakes. Fortunately, weâd saved a little room for dessert, so we split a slice of homemade fruits of the forest pie with a scoop of ice cream. It was outstanding. And all for a little over $30. The second time we came back, it was for breakfast, since Spearfish Canyon Lodge doesnât have a restaurant. The trout had been so good yesterday, that I had grilled trout with dill, 2 eggs, and fried potatoes for my breakfast. Again, the trout was perfectly cooked. I could keep coming back here and trying their daily specials or just ordering off the menu. Great place for reasonably priced good food. Jessie, the waitress, was great both times.

We came in for a late lunch at the recommendation of the bartender at Dakota Shivers Brewing taproom. We ordered the Bauenwurst platter which came with two bauenwurst sausages, a huge pile of German fries, brown gravy and some of the best red sauerkraut i've ever had. My husband and I shared the platter with an extra helping of sauerkraut and we had plenty of food. I had asked for gluten free and was happy to hear that their gravy was thickened with cornstarch. Service was friendly and helpful. I'd definitely recommend this place!

Family friendly restaurant and saloon located in a historic building.
We chose this restaurant based on the comment from TripAdvisor- I must update some. The menu wasnât as variety as it mentioned- it was quite simple instead. When we visited, even at 5PM, no dessert was availableI. The menu overall was very simple. Soup, salad and some meat oriented like burger and steak. Very typical local food. Even no pasta. And all cutlery and places were disposal. Paper plates, plastic utensils, paper up and plastic straws - the size may be smaller than other South Dakota restraints. We appreciate you stopping in on the 4th of July which is our busiest day of the year. The only day of the year we use plastic silverware and paper plates, also a day we run a limited menu so we can keep up with business. See our daily menu on our Facebook page.

Everything on the internet states this place is open on Mondays. We have been wanting to try this place so we drove up July first about 4:00 PM. Door locked, place closed. Several other potential customers were also parked in the parking lot wondering why it was closed. Unbelievable they treat customers like this. We won't be coming back. The least they could have done was put a note on the door saying they were sorry they were closed.
