The Beach Bar caters for an eclectic mix of visitors all year round. When you walk through the door, you will feel you are in a place that has not changed much over the centuries, yet it has something to suit all tastes. From the thirsty surfers just off
Drove miles to get here and we were really disappointed. First we were told they were fully booked and we asked could we sit at the bar. We then got a table in the âfunction roomâ part of the pub, which was half empty for our whole meal. So, they were not actually fully booked. Both got steak sambo. I got mine medium and my partner got well done. They were both cooked the same in the end.... both fatty and rubbery. The vine cherry tomatoes were just regular cherry tomatoes, and there was no dressing. I hate when a simple dish like a steak sandwich isnât done well, itâs so easy to get it right!Giving 1 star for the avocado mayo and the fries.

Brennanâs Lane is in the heart of Ballina, on the evocatively named Garden Street. From outside it looks quite small, but this is deceiving as it stretches way back and is actually huge. It has an almost Tardis quality in the amount of space inside. Downs
A group of us, 4 adults and 7 children ate in Brennan's lane bar and restaurant for the first time today. The restaurant located upstairs is clean, cosy and nicely decorated. The Sunday lunch menu had a nice selection and wasn't overly priced. The children's food came first which was good. Only complaint, the restaurant had wha seemed only 1 waitress, we were waiting a long time to get ketchup. The waitress was over worked and restaurant could've done with more waiting staff. Having said that, the food was so so tasty and one of the nicest Sunday lunches I've had in a long time. I look forward to returning to Brennan's Lane bar and restaurant.

Great Vibe, Exellent Value, Brilliant Food.Home made food and great service just like it used to be.
Had the absolute pleasure of having 3 great nights in the Swagman this week, what a great vibe in here, friendly staff, the food is to die for, great music line up.Thurs night saw a fantastic bluegrass style band who absolutely rocked the house, we ate here both Fri and last night, gorgeous wings (gigantic portion big enough for 2 or 3 to share), tender steaks, and last night a delicious pizza with black pudding & feta cheese..... Divine Food is well priced too. I'll be back in Sligo abd will certainly be back in the Swagman Bar.

Walking off Sligo main shopping street into Hargadons is like taking a step back in time, as its delightful and charismatic interior is almost the same as when it first opened. The present building situated at 4 & 5 OâConnell Street, Sligo was built in 18
Had this place recommended to us by our hotel and it did not disappoint. A traditional pub that used to be a store, lots of things to look at! Comfortable seating (even though we were a large party of seven). Friendly service and wonderful food. The burger is over the top good!. Reasonably priced too!!

The Strand Bar (est 1913) nestled between mythic Knocknarea and the famous surf beach of Strandhill, has for many generations been the favoured social spot for locals and tourists alike.Just ten minutes drive from Sligo, close to the airport and one of Eu
I've had occassion to eat in the Strand a few times over the last month or so, lunch, pizza and takeaway pizza. It's a lovely cosy pub with blazing fire and lots of little nooks and crannies. The staff are lovely and friendly. Lunch was nice (we just had sandwiches/panini) Pizza the night before was also pretty good, but they got our order badly wrong and one of our party was waiting 20 minutes for her pizza. Rather than reduce the bill somewhat as a gesture of goodwill, they actually charged us extra for toppings we never received! The did eventually remove the offending items but it was a bit of a battle. The takeaway pizza we got a few weeks previously was 'ok' the base was nice but it was lacking in toppings and flavour we found. Also, they charge the same for the pizza whether you eat in or takeaway, so it leaves it pricey for a takeaway. Overall, I would say it's a lovely place to go for drinks, with friendly staff, food is pretty good, but the customer service with the pizza put me off a little bit

I'm guessing that this place is quite busy during summertime. It has that feeling of being a place were summer guests ends up. Normal pub feeling to the place and food is good, but not excellent. Surprised about the low amount of seafood they had on the menu. I'd expected more.

In the Harrison family since 1898, a multi award winning restaurant and bar
This restaurant is well worth a visit, itâs extensive menu caters for all. I opted for the Salt & Chilli Squid, although slightly greasy, and Chilli was lacking, it was still a very well presented and tasty dish. For mains I opted for the Surf & Turf Burger, the meat in the Burger was delicious, again the slight letdown down was the greasy calamari, but the major fault with this meal was the chips, more than likely a poor quality frozen chip, Chefs donât seem to care about the chips, which can bring their otherwise **** meal, down to just ok, a good wine list although a little pricey, but still well worth a visit if you are in the area.

A visit to the Northwest is not complete without stopping off at Award-Winning Langs Gastro Pub in Grange, County Sligo. This family run establishment began serving food 8 years ago. Since then, the combination of quality home cooked food & our friendly &
Started our evening in the bar chatting up the owner about the history of Langs. Really friendly guy! Seems like a local watering hole which is exactly what we wanted. Moved in to another room and watched the World Cup with locals and learned more about the area. Ended up ordering fish & chips-very good) and eating in the bar (couldn't give up talking to our new pals). There is a lovely dining room, and all night people were coming in to eat. This must "Be the Place" in Grange. Highly recommend!

We were a family group of twelve on a Friday night for dinner. The ambiance is lovely helped by the courtyard entrance. The attentive and friendly service added greatly to our enjoyment. The special birthday treat for our son arranged at very short notice on a busy night was most appreciated. The food is delicious and yes the portion sizes are hearty and god value! The house wine was delicious and very reasonably priced. Thanks to the Dillon's team for looking after us and we look forward to returning when next over the West.
