DINING The Garden Remember when a beer garden was a great place to relax and unwind and enjoy the beautiful Queensland climate? Well you can still treat yourself to that experience at The Beerwah Hotel. Have a drink, grab a bite to eat or enjoy a range of
Out with friends for lunch, their recommendation was the Beerwah Pub. Made welcome by friendly staff. Main menu a little pricey, however there is a less expensive lunch menu which more than caters for a variety of tastes. Meals are pub size - on the large side - so consider a few 'share plates' for the table. Inside/outside seating, bar service in the bistro area as well as your normal pub trade at the front of the hotel. All in all a really tasty and complete lunch. One of our criteria is the question of whether we would come back? Beerwah Pub - Yes!David,Thanks for your review!Glad you enjoyed our Family owned Hotel. We don't want anyone going away hungry! Sounds like we achieved this!!Spread the word and see you next time your in.RegardsSteve HolmesManager

First visit since the revovations and I think new owners. It looks great and is much bigger. Very clean and service was friendly and speedy. Lots to choose from on the menu but more vegetarian and vegan options would be good. We had a great night and were very impressed. The only minor issues were staff trying to remove plates before guests were finished their meals and our main meals coming out before we had finished our entrees. This is probably better than having bad service though!Overall they are doing a great job and it's good to have another local restaurant option. We would certainly return.
Jae's was booked for a very special family occasion, and was under recently new management. The venue itself was perfect for the occasion, but the management was not.John, the owner, was slippery about guaranteeing exclusive use of the venue for the evening, despite a guest numbers in excess of 100. I visited the restaurant a week before the event to get a gauge of the quality of food and service. We had a table of 3, and there was only one other table, which had 6 guests. After waiting an hour for our food, I asked what the delay was, only for them to respond that we had placed our order just after the "big table", but it should be out soon. If they can't prepare 9 covers in under an hour, we were clearly going to have problems with a guest list of a hundred- and we did.John had insufficient champagne glasses for the evening, and made no attempt to rectify the situation, so my father had to nip out hours before the start of the evening to hire some. We had absolutely no help in setting up the venue for the evening. We set all the tables, decorated them and arranged tables. John showed no initiative in even offering help, but made sure that he took photos of the venue once we had finished....To keep things simple, we had arranged a simple menu- some nibbles upon arrival, no entrees, alternate mains of only two dishes, and we had provided a cake for dessert. The meals finally arrived WELL OVER TWO HOURS AFTER THEY WERE SCHEDULED, which caused my father considerable anxiety- an appalling outcome given all the planning which had gone into the event. The chicken was nice, but the Beef Wellington was poor- the base of the pastry was cremated and the beef was tough.Staff failed to clear any of the tables and service was slow and poor.DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BOOK THIS VENUE FOR LARGE PARTIES. THEY SIMPLY ARE NOT UP TO IT.
