Discover Restaurants offering the best Pub food in L'Agulhas, Western Cape, South Africa. L'Agulhas (or Agulhas) is a coastal village and holiday resort in the Western Cape province of South Africa. Located just north of Cape Agulhas, the southernmost tip of the African mainland, it is the southernmost settlement in Africa. It is situated next to the town of Struisbaai and about 30 kilometres (20 mi) south of the regional centre of Bredasdorp. The name "Agulhas", Portuguese for "needles", is said to have been given to the cape because the compass-needle was seen to point due north, that is, with no magnetic deviation. The Agulhas Bank is reputed to be the richest fishing area in the Southern Hemisphere.

Cosy family restaurant with separate old style pub with interesting history. Menu offers something for everyone, good music from the 60,70,80's.
The southernmost restaurant in Africa offers the visitor an interesting menu, including a daily specialty. I ordered fresh fish (cob, as per checked, fish whose habitat is South Africa), that really had a good quality. The lounge is beautiful decorated and the staff is nice. In general, it is a great option after visiting the southern point of Africa.

Small pub in the Hub off LâAgulhas. Although we only had a couple of drinks we had a great experience. Efficient personnel that make you feel welcome. Nice vibe to spend some time to sit back and relax.

Did not know about this place and found it by offchance. First thing that hit us was the smoke smell in the "non-smoking" restaurant. The door between the bar and restaurant was left open. Luckily there was another section further away where you couldnt smell anything. Unfortunately here the music so very loud my husband and I could barely have a conversation. We did ask later if the volume could be turned down a bit but we got an apologetic no. When we arrived, my husband had to go to the bar to ask if someone could assist us. Seems there was only 1 waiter...luckily the food menu on the table already as placemat. Drinks were guessed as the waiter had no idea what beers were on offer. Only the on tap ones. We ordered the potato boats as starter. Wow! No disappointment there! Big portion, good flavour and very well priced. Mains were just as good although the ribs were a bit fatty and onion rings although massive and very crispy, slightly oily! Also very very well priced for the amount of food. I can also say the Guiness on tap was very Irishly perfect! So good food but small details need attention. Will visit again though if ever this side again.

We tried the pizza at Aviator based on some recommendations on TripAdvisor, the restaurant does not have a wood fired oven so pizza is done in a normal oven. The pizza was okay but seriously overpriced, the restaurant do not get a recommendation from me unless you are really hungry for pizza.
