We called here for Saturday lunch after trying a few other places which either didn't serve food or didn't have anything on the menu we fancied and I'm glad we did. It's a very nice pub which serves food and has a great menu, between the four of us we had ham and eggs, fish and chips, beef lasagne and Mexican mushroom burger and we all thoroughly enjoyed our food. The portions were big and it was all very tasty, my mushroom burger was the best burger I've had, it was tasty with just the right amount of spice. The pub atmosphere was lovely, the food was served quickly and the staff were lovely and friendly. I'd definitely come here again.

This pub is our long term favourite pub in town. 7/8 real ales on hand pump and reasonable prices. Some beers less than £3 a pint. Mainly Ossett Brewery beers but guest beers regularly served. Old Rosie cider (7.3%) is good. Also have Blue Moon (Belgian) and High Wire Grapefruit Lager). Good range of wines, spirits and soft drinks too. This is a traditional small town Yorkshire Pub with slate slab flooring and wood & brass fittings. Comfortable and friendly. Welcomes dogs - doesnât just tolerate them! The landlady (Ang) is always very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. No food during the week, but a very good Sunday Lunch at an amazingly good price - fill roast with choice of three roast meats - all locally sourced. Homemade Yorkshire puddings too - much better than frozen. Live bands every Saturday evening, but just a quiet, friendly âlocalâ most of the time. Open fire in winter - outside seating in warmer weather. In the CAMRA Good Beer Guide. 10% discount on real ale for CAMRA members. First pub Iâve seen in town to use biodegradable straws instead of plastic straws - something I approve of, not that I drink my real ale with a straw! This is just a very relaxed place to enjoy good beer in pleasant surroundings.

SO! bar and eats is Knaresborough's award winning busiest bar and kitchen. Offering a relaxed and informal dining and drinking experience. It's perfect for the general foodie looking for something new to try, to groups of friends out for some nibbles and
Great place, great food, had the nachos and cheese fondue plus a bottle of pinot blush all of which was fabulous but have to say what sets this place apart is the five star service which we received on Thursday evening, thankyou!

Walked into the pub at 22:50 to see the barmaid pulling points for customers satisfaction down. The barmaid said they were closed and when questioned said the customers had paid on and advised us that there was a wetherspoons up the road. I get that the customers may have been staying at the b&b, I also get that staff want to get home, but serving us wouldn't have made any difference given that the customers the had felt pulled pints. I also get that pubs do lock ins, but if you are going to, take the hint from the title and lock the door. Thanks for recommending wetherspoons, probably did us a favour. I try to support local independent pubs, but this is the reason they are closing at the rate they areHi there stevepS8007JCUnfortunately you did arrive at The Mitre after we had finished service and the customer you saw receiving a half pint ordered it during last orders. We hope this hasn't put you off returning to The Mitre as we look forward to welcoming you back soon.Kind regardsLaurenMarketing Coordinator

The Tiger is a family run village pub, with the ethos of excellent quality pub food, served with perfect quality cask ales and a superb reputation.
We ate dinner here with family on a Friday evening and luckily we had booked. It was very busy but the service was quick, friendly and efficient. The menu is extensive with a lot of choice along with the two courses for a set price which was the one we decided on. Everyone ordered different starters, mains and desserts and everything tasted great. Good portion sizes and the chips were especially tasty. We had a really lovely visit and woulds definitely go again

This was the 2nd time round I have visited The Guy Fawkes Arms and I must say it didn't dissappoint. This time was for a Team Lunch with work. We pre ordered our choices from the lunchtime menu ahead of our visit. The service was fantastic and although we were a large group the front of house staff and Danielle looked after our every need. The vegetarian options were delicious and I can highly recommend the Mushroom Soup with homemade bread. It was the best Mushroom Soup I have ever tasted. I would highly recommend The Guy Fawkes Arms to any large parties. The service was efficient, well organised and friendly. The perfect combination. I look forward to visiting again and seeing the refurbishment of the lovely restaurant.Thanjs Danielle and Adam. Keep up the hard work!

Knaresborough has charm. The town is blessed by the tranquil River Nidd. There is, however, a little gem that is situated along the river walk. I understand that The Half Moon Free House Pub may have been struggling in the past but there is no sign of this today. The new owners have turned the fortunes of The Half Moon, around. The pub has been tastefully decorated, it is spotlessly clean and there is certainly a welcoming atmosphere when you venture inside. The Half Moon is bucking the trend - this pub is unlikely to close. The owners have made their mark - welcoming staff, a nice simple lunch and great beer. Well done boys - you deserve every drop of success.
