Traditional Irish pub
Even before ordering the food, I chose a beer. My eye was drawn to 7 Locks-Surrender Dorothy IPA. The quite-a-bit-younger person in charge of the table explained that back in the 70s, someone had painted âSurrender Dorothyâ on an overpass on the Beltway near Silver Spring that crossed a view of the Mormon Temple in Kensington, MD. Wow! I remembered that so well that I had to try it. It did not disappoint. It was crisp and forthright. A very good pairing with the pub food. As for the food, we all shared two fabulous appetizers: the crispy buttermilk calamari and the Limerick mussels. The latter upped the taste with bits of bacon in the sauce. For the main course, the beef stew was hearty, but not overwhelming, served in this case with freshly mashed potatoes. The standard fish and chips dish was good: the fish better than the somewhat limp chips. The dipping sauces were just okay. The staff was very good, and the atmosphere as expected.

Being a Platinum Elite Marriott loyalty member I've stayed at many Marriott properties US and overseas but NEVER have I encountered a hotel infested with gnats/small bugs in the dining areas! It is so disheartening to go to the restaurant and bar area and see customer's sitting with napkins over their drinks and swatting gnats away! These bugs are also in the lovely "M" club area. I've eaten breakfast at the M club every morning for a week and despite being away from the restaurant area those nasty bugs still make their way in the M club. Also, other than breakfast the food in the restaurant is not up to the Marriott quality. From the flatbreads to simple dishes such as chicken tenders the food is pretty disgusting. The next time I am in the Washington DC area I will stay at a different hotel.

Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery is a welcoming and engaging craft beer experience with a variety of unique craft beer freshly brewed on-site to pair with our popular American crave-able food like our Brewery Nachos and Ballpark Pretzel, as well as comfor
Our friends group had a nice lunch experience at Rock Bottom Brewery in the heart of Bethesda, MD. Server Kendra and other staff were attentive and friendly. I enjoyed the tasty Salmon and strawberry salad. It was served fresh and cold. The salmon was very nicely prepared although I wish the fish serving would have been a bit larger at a price of +15.00 for the salad.

In the area after a long day, we were hungry and just wanted to sit, have a drink or two and get some food. We were very pleased with the service on a Friday evening. I thought the beer selection could have been a little more varied, as there seemed to be a lot of beers, but many similar types. My hamburger was very good, cooked properly and juicy. My wifeâs crab cake was also good, although not lump crabmeat. The side salad was huge! As well as the side of fries - which were cooked to perfection and a golden brown! Delicious!

Paladar means palate, or "taste" and it's the right moniker for a place that offers small shareable plates, fresh ingredients, and happy hour pricing with free parking in the heart of trendy Rockville. Our large group was set up in a large front room with plenty of room to mingle that the organizers had requested ahead of time. The service was pretty good, as it was difficult to track drinks as various people trickled in. The food orders and drinks were served quickly and the bill was lower than expected for so many plates on the table. I ordered the chicken empanadas, and they were quite good-- the trio was maybe not as crispy as I would have liked, but that was probably my fault because we were 15 ladies chatting. After happy hour timed out at 7pm, we did not see our server as much. This cluster of restaurants around Whole Foods is not the Rockville Pike I remember from my teenage years working at the nearby defunct White Flint mall. But then again, we did not call Rockville Pike "North Bethesda" then! There is outdoor seating which I would like to try on a return visit. Next time, I will be trying a rum flight.
