I had dinner with my tour group at Shveik Tavern while we waited for our train to leave for Kyiv. (The station is only about 50m away across the street) We all agreed that it was a great low-key restaurant and we loved the quiet, basement pub ambience. Our meals were all tasty. Chicken wings in the house honey-soy sauce were a hit with everyone. The Austrian goulash was also a crowd pleaser. The house beer was also tasty and received high marks from those who drank it. If you're in the area, Shveik is a great option for unpretentious food. I highly recommend it!

This is a pretty nice place with a cozy atmosphere. The first time I was in this place with my friends. Despite the fact that the pub is in the basement, when we went there, it turned out to be quite cozy. There was soft subdued lighting and quiet pleasant music. Also there is a great interior, but the disadvantage is that this place is a bit cramped.The staff was adequate and friendly) We arrived there in a big company, and they didn't have a place, but we were allowed to move smaller tables into one big one. The menu has a very large selection of different dishes and drinks, and everything was very tasty. And what surprised me even more, the prices were pretty inexpensive. But unfortunately we waited a long time for our order. As for me, it's a great place, with ageat atmosthepe, where you can eat cheap and tasty. I had a great time, even though I arrived there in a not very good mood. I highly Recommend it))

Was here recently for a business lunch. As the name implies this is a pub, with quite a collection of musicians playing on the weekends. Surprise, surprise, however, the kitchen is quite good. Can't remember the name of the chicken dish that I had, will have to update this review. But it was outstanding. This pub is located in the basement, there are quite a few different rooms. We spent our time in the US room (did not realize it actually had a name until later....) which has a map of the US including a collection of license plates from all of the states (although do not recall if Alaska and Hawaii were included? :)).

Arrived 22:45 - ordered a pizza and a beer. Got my beer after 10 minutes. Now it is 0:07 and I just got my pizza. Haven't tasted it yet and I don't care - just too bad being so slow. And no "We are sorry".I came here because I was hungry - not to waste my time.

Delicious beer, the chef whipped me up a borsch even while they were closing the kitchen and it was amazing. Great Veranda location.Staff was singing and dancing behind the bar. This place just pours out the spirit of the city and its friendly inhabitants. Going there again, going there everytime I visit, visiting the city more because of places like this!
