The river and rainforest are the main attractions, of course, and once in Iquitos it's easy to book a stay at one of numerous nearby jungle lodges. Closer to town, travelers recommend visiting the market and "floating village" of Belen, seeing colorful creatures at the butterfly farm and animal rescue center, and taking a cruise on the great river.

Seafood is good here albeit a tad expensive. Service is OK but beware the waitresses as they tout for drinks and choose something outrageous which of course ends up on your tab. Lunch is good there but do stay with the seafood.

Trabaje varios aÃ±os en Iquitos, es un tÃpico bar local con buena vista ;) tiene una rocola antigua, me encanta! Aunque necesita actualizar las canciones, es super cÃ³modo el lugar. Recomendable: llevar repelente ;)
