The staff were helpful and all very kind, polite and made the meal a delightful experience. The management for the last couple of years has been superb compared to the management previously. I have re-visited many time now as I have never had a bad experience! I would highly recommend this pub.Hi Lchrystall, we are very happy to have provided you with such a positive experience!

Very warm welcome by staff in very pleasant surroundings. We had the set three course which gave limited choice but was very competitively priced with a bottle of their house red ( excellent). It was our decision to choose the set lunch menu , which was well cooked and appropriate , and it did not disappoint. However perhaps we should have been more adventurous. We certainly would go back.Hence five stars because it delivered what it said on the label and I could not fault their service or atmosphere and the food was our choice based upon value for money . Great place to take the family.Thank you so much 54ken_S, that was a lovely and detailed review for us. We hope to see you again soon so you can explore our menu even more. Thanks, Ceri.

At The Gravesberie Inn we're obsessed about our food and service. Whatever the occasion, quality, freshness, value for money and great service all matter.
Visited the gravesberie inn at the weekend to celebrate family birthdays. We were shown to our table that was private which was amazing. Table was decorated with helium balloons which was a nice addition. Our server for the evening Jeannie, was very attentive and helpful taking our order for drinks and then for our food. Our meals were all excellent and could not be faulted. I had the seafood grill which was well presented and delicious. My husband had rump steak and beef dripping gravy, which he said was cooked just as he had asked. Excellent in every way.

As West Kirby's first Tankovna, we serve brewery fresh beer. Our copper tanks are filled with Budweiser Budvar which is driven direct from the brewery in Budwies, Czech Rep, every week. Delivering the freshest, unpasteurised pint of pilsner this side of t
Not my choice of venue as I had not heard good things about the food. For a pub, it's pricey, fairly limited menu, was hard to pick what to eat. Staff gave us the menus and returned pretty quick to see if we had made our choices, which we hadn't. Eventually we did but the service was then very slow. The food was ok, but small portions and the food wasn't presented well. The food I had was pretty bland and ordinary, no great flavours to it. Ordered sweets, the raspberry and lemon cheesecake, the biscuit base was so thick and dense, a hammer and chisel would have been more appropriate than a spoon to break it up. Staff are friendly but the kitchen is slow. It's not a place I would visit again, it lacks atmosphere, it just isn't a lively or vibrant placeHi Jonie,Thank you for taking the time for letting us know of your experience and please accept my apologies that we did not deliver on our usual high standards of service. The length of time you waited has been passed onto the kitchen team who are currently working at new ways to help keep wait times down. Your comments regarding the base of our cheesecake have also been passed on and the chefs are looking into ways to avoid it being as hard as it currently is.Hope to see you again soon so we can turn your opinion around. If there's anything else you would like to discuss please feel free to contact me either at [email protected] or call me on 0151-601-1888.Kind regards, Matt.Assistant Manager
My hubby and I popped in here for a drink whilst we were out for a drive. It looks so tiny from outside but was surprised when we entered it was like the Tardis. It seemed like everyone knew each other as the banter was firing in every direction! We were made to feel welcome and apparently every other Tuesday they put food on last nights was Italian, 2 weeks time it will be French I believe. I had better find my beret and string of onions as we are defo going. Hubbys pint was a fine cask too. Well done to you all.

Ate here with a large family group on Sunday. Pub was nice enough and staff fine. I ordered the roast and although the portions were large and the meat OK, the Yorkshire was on the cold side and the crispy parsnips were over done. Funny choice of veg for this time of year. Others did report their choices were good though.

My partner was in today to watch the cricket final and had been there for 3 hours when two people came in and wanted Liverpool game on which is fair enough but TV was turned over without any consultation so he is not happy and had to come home so lost custom.Hi Susie, Thank you for your review. However, I fail to see how No Beer is a title for a one star review. He must have been happy at some point considering he was in here for 3 hours previously. We have several TV's with split screens so we were actually showing, tennis, cricket and the football match. Maybe you would like to leave us a higher review in light of the three hours he was obviously happy with the pub, the beer and the TV content. If he had just spoken to me I could have pointed him in the right direction of the screen showing what he wanted to watch.Kind regardsLaura

Six of us visited on August 24th to grab a few cocktails prior to eating at the restaurant next door. We originally intended to visit either of the other two bars next door, but both of them were rammed and noisy with crowds spilling out into the street. I'm so glad we went to Grand Ave instead. We had a lovely airy table next to the opened bi fold doors. Our wide range of cocktails were very well made and everyone in our party enjoyed them. The service was outstanding, despite me ordering an 'Old-fashioned' (known to take a while to mix!).A great atmosphere and friendly staff, I can definitely recommend this venue. Whilst we didn't eat there, the food served to other patrons looked very tasty, appetising and nicely presented.

Dropped in for lunch having never been in before and really enjoyed the relaxed cosy atmosphere, as well as excellent food. There is a great feel about the tap, itâs quite traditional in its appearance, great music playing in the background and a warm seat by the log burner. The menu is fairly limited, but the veg sharing platter with a slice of locally made pork pie, was beyond expectation. Beautifully presented and very tasty. We will definitely be back.

I was a bit worried to try the food here after reading a few reviews about the food and service but we gave it a try tonight. Service was a little poor, our table hadnât been wiped and we sat for over 10 mins kinda waiting to be noticed...a waiter walked past us a few times and seemed to pick and choose who he looked after and it wasnât us so we had to find someone to ask for this to be done. We were unsure whether we order ourselves at the bar or whether we get served but we went to the bar as menus were located at the doors and around the pub for you to grab yourselves. There was a bit of a queue to order but hey ho, quite busy for a midweek evening.I found the choice of meals to be lacking on the menu, there didnât seem to be very much to choose from at all and we couldnât see any specials anywhere. Food itself was nice, nothing great about it but it was presented well and hot. The puddings were better than the mains and my peach cheesecake was really tasty. All in all, an average pub meal, we probably would return but maybe just for a drink.
