Basically title sums it up. The place was packed on a Friday night around 6pm. We were a party of 4, had to wait a few, but we're seated within reasonable time. Couldn't hear my husband across the table; partly because of crowd but ehy hard thier tvs turned up SO loud that I wasn't hardly even able to hear the waitress when she took our order. Good thing I can read lips! They were also short handed so our waitress disappeared for long periods. The joke was she had to "down to the lake" to get our water. The food was good though. Lathe portions, fresh and as ordered. Not a place I would seek out again but could be nice enough for large groups or work parties.

Village Tavern & Grill, established in 1993 is a Schaumburg local favorite and home of the "World Famous" Chicken Fingers and Nachorama. Featured on WGN's "Chicago's Best TV" as viewers choice.
The wife and I have been here many, many times and the food here has always been excellent. The problem with this location is the noise level. Being sensitive to noise, it is not a good fit for this location. This has caused us to slow down on our visits here. The food is great as well and the service. Just the noise is hard to sit through. We have found that going here off peak times of the day is certainly a help.

This place has a great vibe! They accommodated our very large party keeping the boys at one long table and us parents at another. Food and drink were excellent. I had the flite of 4 beers, 2 blueberrian and 2 citrus types. Started with the Caesar and had excellent fish n chips, generous portions (makes mY mouth water just thinking about it now?). No room for dessert. My compadres all liked their meals also but the flight of beer was definitely a good intro (and I don't really like beer!)Our server Crystal was outstanding! Gave us a lot of info on Pride Day Parade. And was quite pleasant in her service!Highly recommend with a group! This place was hopping!!

My first night in this town of Schaumburg and after a long day of traveling - I really wanted a place to have some good food and beer. This was it.I chose this place because of its great reviews here & Iâm happy I listened to the words of others. The charm of the interior gave me the feeling like I walked into a Tudor style home and I was all of a sudden in another world or place. Warm lighting gave it that extra There are great drink specials for happy hour and the menu is pretty diverse. From Steak, bar bites, soups, flatbreads etc, there something here for everyone. The wait staff are super friendly. Whether youâre flying solo or if your with an ensemble of friends, this place is accommodating.:)

Food was good and so was the service. Wide variety on the menu. The odd thing about this experience was that I asked for a tea to go and the waiter said no problem. However, after about 5 minutes he came back and said he was sorry but the manager said they donât allow drinks to go, including non-alcoholic. I have never run into that in my entire life. We all found it very odd. Because I travel, I love a tea or water to go so I have something in my hotel room. Not this time. Go figure!

My wife and I are generally meat-and-potatoes people. More recently, we have switched to a more fish, less meat diet. I need a regular shrimp cocktail fix. But, in our travels across the country, we have become accustomed to the many fast-food and steakhouse chains. And Chili's, which has over 1,600 locations worldwide and specializes in a Tex-Mex style cuisine that covers everything from barbecue ribs to chili to enchiladas to fajitas to burritos to tacos to quesadillas. Truth be told, we have fallen in love with the stuff. There are several Chili's locations in the Chicago area--none in the downtown area, where we live--so we go to the suburbs for our quacamole fix. Recently, we sampled the menu at Chili's at 2220 Barrington Road in Hoffman Estates. No complaints. The restaurant is clean, the service is spot-on and the food is hot, fresh and delicious. We scanned the menu and settled on Southwest chicken soup, boneless wings, Margherita flatbread salad with shrimp, Atlantic salmon with rice and steamed broccoli, a Southern smokehouse sandwich with four slices of applewood smoked bacon, melted cheddar, garlic dill pickles, onion rings, lettuce, tomato and Chili's signature sauce and Oreo topped molten cake. It's different but it's so good.

The September $1 hamburger or hot dog and home-made chips is certainly well worth it. The hamburger with lettuce and tomato was done just as ordered and tasted good. The chips were crisp and not greasy. The bowl of popcorn put on the table as you're seated is a nice touch and time-filler as waiting for the server. The service was good. We will return.

We spent one night in Hoffman estates just outside of Chicago, so with this place just across the street we decided to try it out. The service was awesome, the place was cute and the food was decent. First we started with the mozzarella triangles, which were fried to perfection. The marinara sauce with it could use some more flavor, but the triangles were so good the sauce wasn't even necessary. We then got our burgers. First both burgers were cooked perfectly & were juicy and flavorful. The toppings on the mac n cheese burger was not good at all, it was just boxed with a slice of cheese over it. My daughter decided to just take it off, it was better that way. Mine was the BBQ burger which didn't have hardly any BBQ on it at all, so that was disappointing, but what was on it was tasty. The fries and tater tots we really good and we got full, so I would go here again, but try something else.

Food was average but over priced. During lunch some kind of insect bit me up and left welts that are still very itchy even several days later. I have no idea what it was and I don't want to assume the worst case scenario. Won't be returning there.Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We will look into the issue.
