Main Street Wine Bar

Recently I attended a wine pairing with a Farm to Table dinner. The first course flat bread with melted cheese and bitter greens was delicious; the soup, bean with vegetables was also very good. Next were three yummy pork meatballs, very tasty. Thin stripped flank steak was the main course, very well plated, but I am not a fan of flank steak. The dessert, whether it was intended to be or not, included two apple fritter rounds that appeared and tasted somewhat burnt..not very appealing. The wine presented with each course was all from Tuscany Italy. The alcohol content was high compared to what I am used to having, however each was paired well with the course it was presented with. The owner and servers were all very knowledgeable and efficient and pleasant. I would give it another try.

First door I went to, the handicapped entrance, door was jammed and I could not open it. We had to walk back around the building in the rain to get in the bar door. Service is terrible. Seated ourselves, and waited 15 minutes for service before deciding to leave. Only 3 tables, two waitresses and no one was being served. The table closest to us, it took 10 minutes to run a credit card, the guys wife gave up and went to the car. The other table, two of the guys went to the bar to get refills. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!

This is one of the restaurants within the Seven Springs Resort, it's a small place, but it's one of 4 or 5 places to eat on premises. Try the prime rib dinner, NICE!

We stayed overnight at Seven Springs Resort. The Bavarian Lounge was an excellent place to get a few drinks after a day of exploring the area. The bartenders were extremely nice!! They also have a food menu but we did not eat there.

The Grille at Sporting Clays

I was with a group, so I got to try different appetizers and see different sandwiches. The wings are unremarkable and appear to have some coating. They appear to be frozen and the sauces were predictable - I tried the buffalo, bbq, and garlic which were the best. The bleu cheese appeared to be house made as well as the ranch and honey mustard. good sauces, not so good wings. The soft pretzel sticks were also frozen and mircrowaved. They became quite hard as they cooled and were devoid of any unique or flavorful taste. The nachos with pulled pork were the best appetizer I tasted and the pork was not bad-not great, but not bad. The toppings on the nachos was a tad skimpy. My sandwich was a grilled cod on a roll with remoulade sauce. They put little sauce on it and it would be much better with more of the sauce. The cod was adequate and sauce was above average. The cole slaw was creamy and institutional. They have single serve pizza's and my friends said the pizza bread (it was french bread style) was good. They have a version of the Primanti bros style sandwich that had lunch meat roast beef and was not very substantial, lacking overall adequate filling. Prices were higher than average but on par with the rest of the over priced food at the resort. Average cost of sandwiches was about $15, do not go out of your way to eat here. They do have a nice deck view of a lake and you get to hear the soothing sounds of shotguns firing at the adjacent skeet range if sitting outside.Thank you for visiting the Grille at Sporting Clays.
