Service sympa. Un bémol : la salle/l'ambiance. Manque de charme.

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely evening in this friendly and comfortable pub/restaurant. We both had the fish pie and shared a massive bowl of chips and, of course, the local Hommel beer. With our drinks we were given a generous bowl of savoury snacks as we waited for our meal. We had seen the place advertised as a sports bar but maybe it's had a revamp as no evidence of this, instead it was cosy candles on tables type of place. Would definitely go again.

Staff was very nice, space pleasant and well decorated. You can feel the musical vibe. Food somewhat less, had to wait long and plate wasn't very hot. But the overall friendly cosy atmosphere made up for that.

We used the Saint Arnoldus bar several times during our short trip to Ypres either for a drink after watching the âLast Postâ ceremony at the Menin Gate and also on another occasion for a quick snack. The bar is about midway between the market square and the Menin Gate and on entering the visitor finds themselves in a long bar area stretching back to an open garden area at the rear. The bar has a very good selection of beers on tap and I tried the âWipers x14â Belgian beer which was quite refreshing. The bar area had a good âvibeâ about it and was being used by both British tourists and also what appeared to be locals which is always a good sign. Looking for a snack one afternoon we also sampled the toasties on offer here and found these to be both tasty and satisfying.Would most certainly visit here again if we were in the area and recommend it to others.

Come and enjoy an afternoon tea and refreshments in our tranquil gardens and courtyard with stunning views of the Flemish countryside and WW1 battlefields. We have a well stocked bar of Belgian Beers and some locally produced wines. We also have a delicio
Felt a bit like Hyacinth Bouquet... having a pot of tea with friends. Lovely lady and a wonderful view on the hills.

Having arrived late Sunday afternoon in Bailleul France we had already booked De Bralle as we knew everything in the town is closed on Sunday. We found a warm welcome and sat on the terrace overlooking farmland. My wife ordered duck breast with cod for myself. Both came nicely presented with potatoes and vegetables. A decent house wine rounded off a delicious meal. My wife's portion of duck was huge. It didn't get wasted.Service was good with the owner speaking excellent English.Thank you very much for the kind words, hope to see you again!regards Salima

Came upon this place by chance the day before when we stopped for a coffee after a longish drive from Troyes on our way to Ypres. We decided to return for lunch the following day and were not disappointed. As vegies we were well catered for by our Hostess who took time out from a very busy lunchtime to talk to us. The food was excellent and the service from all the staff was first class. Once again full of locals which is always a good sign. Highly recommended.
