We went here on many occasions to drink, for lunch and for dinner. where do I start... The first time was for a lunch - I had the $12 lunch special of Seafood Chowder, my partner had home made Tomato soup, both meals enjoyed .On several days we would stop in for a drink on the way back to the apartment , Chatty friendly staff and a very friendly owner - Mel - who was very informative. They also do a good pot of tea. On each visit Staff remembered us as did the owners, It was great to chat to Mel and Andy the owners, hopefully for the right reasons!! We also went here to watch the last few matches each day of the 7's - I had Pork Schnitzel - good - and my partner had Sirloin steak, not quite blue but still rare. Next meal I had carbonera, not bad, my partner had a very nice Beef & Guinness pie. We had our last meal in Hamilton here, I had a full breakfast, NOT a small meal but I enjoyed it, My partner had the House curry - this was the best curry he has had in years, the whole presentation, taste etc. was fantastic. There was a council election meeting/presentation for local candidates we stayed it was so interesting. Once again Thank you Mel, Andy and all your staff.

English pub, Gastro pub serving excellent value and tasty British food complimented by good English beers, Cider and NZ craft beers.
I live near but maybe due to the exterior have avoided going here so when friends suggested it I wasnât that keen. But what a surprise - it is less expensive than others places in the vicinity and the meals are large and so tasty. The staff were awesome- really friendly and welcoming. Itâs very relaxing and has a nice comfortable vibe. It feels like the sort of place that can become a local. In fact I will definitely be going often

It seems quite a while since my last review of Craft, and probably during that time many of the staff have changed. However, they still provide great service (their hash-tag fries are fantastic), and have an incredible range of beers every night. IPAs, sours, stouts, etc., a massive range of quality draft beers. Being a bit of a cheapskate, 9 times out of 10 I probably visit on their 3 for $15 Thursdays -4.00 to 7.00pm - absolutely outstanding value. Very highly recommended.

The Bank is Hamiltonâs most iconic bar and effectively created the Southend hospitality precinct when it was opened in 1994. The Bank remains one of Hamiltonâs favourite bars to this day, due in part to the beautiful historic building in which it is situa
Sorry to say that we didnât have a great experience. Our server made us feel like an inconvenience and never once smiled. The food was cheap and it showed. My steak was so thin and fatty. The mushroom sauce was tasteless and the egg was cold. My husbands chips were cold and there was that plastic processed cheese on his burger. A shame because the decor and building were beautiful.

Speights Ale House in Hamilton is perfectly situated between two of Hamiltons great focal points; the Waikato River and Waikato Stadium. It's the ideal place to meet before or after a stadium event, be it rugby or a concert. The bar may be modern but you'
We are travelling throughout New Zealand and have visited many Speight Ale Houses and they have all been very good. We recently visited the Hamilton location and found the food and the service superb. Would definitely recommend a visit here

Keystone is Hamilton's only Monteith's craft bar, and the ideal venue for a work get-together or casual evening with friends.Offering a distinctly Kiwi menu, combined with a wide selection of quality craft tap beers and New Zealand wines, Keystone represen
I received an offer (2 meals for the price of one) to showcase the new chef at Keystone so was looking forward to a great evening. My partner thoroughly enjoyed the Pork Hock meal, but I was not impressed with my selection - Lamb Pie on mashed potato. The potato was very salty. The waitress offered to get a replacement but the kitchen said this would be still the same seasoning level so I asked for potato skin chips instead. By the time they arrived I had finished my little pastry pie with a smidge of lamb. The sauce on the side was also heavily seasoned. The chips were not worth waiting for - the thin chips were crispppppp while the thicker pieces were not properly cooked in the middle. Thinking I would cheer myself up with a dessert I was disappointed to see that 5 of the 6 dessert options included a chocolate component - I asked for the only non-chocolate option (rhubarb crumble) and was told that it was very popular that evening and there would be a 30 min wait. We didnât order dessert.Service was mixed too. Our waitress was superb but the drinks guy brought my beer to the table in the bottle and was surprised when I asked for a glass. He then asked if I wanted ice in my glass (for a beer?) and finally brought me a tiny soft drink glass! At the end of the evening, I had to wait about 10 min to pay at the bar. Unfortunately, our evening did not make me want to rush back for another Keystone experience.

The original Good George bar and home of the Good George Brewery. Established in an old 1960's church on Somerset Street Hamilton you can grab a seat inside or underneath our brew tanks in our garden bar and watch as our team of award winning brewers craf
Canât fault the brewery, outstanding beer and cider. The venue is nice, with a real pub feel. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is okay, burgers and pizza and few other bits and bobs. The bao buns were a total miss for me. Fries were crunchy and the meals hearty in size. Iâd be back in a flash for a beer or cider, maybe some fries on the side!

The Helm is Hamiltonâs premier tavern destination offering a comprehensive range of New Zealand and International draught beers, including Heinekin on tap. Set a course for The Helm to experience one of Hamiltonâs leading hospitality businesses. If youâre
Good meal (kumara salad), friendly atmosphere. Very good gluten free options. They've recently redone their menu. The staff are friendly, informative and helpful.Good favourite to visit when you get the chance.Car parking is a little packed. I'd advise for families to not sit at the table near the bathroom because of the volume of traffic when the restaurant is full.
