2nd time we have been here for a family gathering and I have to say the Staff are wonderful. Very attentive and professional. The good is lovely and we all had different options. I tried the Chicken Kiev and it was delicious and served with sweet potato fries and a side salad. The Hargreaves pale ale, is a lovely blonde ale and highly recommended.. Overall another good night, great company and being honest a slightly bad head this morning. We will no doubt be back.

We (3 adults and 1 child) visited the Royal for breakfast, our first ever visit as our previous breakfast venue is closed for renovation. We are definite converts, the place has a nice, clean, fresh feel about it and the staff were excellent.£5.95 for a full breakfast including orange juice and toast, cracking value and quality. The veggie breakfast was a real treat. This is now our new favourite weekend breakfast treat.

Greatly needed in Clayton le Moor this place doesnât disappoint!! The food is fabulous. Went for lunch with friends. Two of us had the cheese pie which came highly recommended, served with lovely chips and very fresh salad. Chicken Piri Piri sizzler with salsa sour cream chips and two wraps. And finally salmon. Everybody really enjoyed it. We did wait 30 minutes which is fine when everything is so fresh so no complaints but just wondering if the place was full would they cope. There wasnât anybody else in whilst we were there. But ten out of ten for the chefs. Give it a try

Called in Saturday 6.00pm after day out. This is our usual go to for a consistent decent meal. Seated quickly, but then seemingly forgotten about for some while to order food. I ordered risotto with asparagus & beans. Minute portion, was like slush rice pudding, couple of small sliced asparagus & virtually no beans. Famished after full day it & finished in around half a dozen mouthfuls.Apparantly asked & told new chef started that week.May be OK with burgers, fries & easy dishes, but his skills fell short on the risotto. Wife's meal okay, but was plain chicken.Very poor & disappointing for money.Made worse because we passed the Knowles Arms, our favourite in order to go Hyndburn nearer home.May be some time now I will part with my money there again,& probably go to the Park where the food is superior.

This grade 2 listed building set in the heart of the Ribble Valley has recently been renovate to a high standard, both inside and out but still in keeping with the country feel. We think our beer garden is one of the best in the area. Our food offering is
We were staying close by on holiday and went for dinner. The pub looks fairly recently refurbished in a contemporary, comfortable style with tasteful and relaxing colours. Staff were welcoming.Food was excellent - an interesting menu. We only had main courses but they were great - a rich cheese and onion pie - seemed home made and the flat iron steak was very tender and succulent with hot crisp fries. The accompaniments were fresh and tasty.Good value - would highly recommend.

Saturday afternoon. Out for a few drinks and feeling peckish. This place has a largish menu, with a specials board, so there's plenty to choose from. We had scampi (which apparently was more than acceptable) and the home made meat pie. Fab service, great food, lovely people and very reasonably priced. We'd definitely come here to eat again.
