Popped in one evening whilst staying at the nearby Premier Inn. We're not exactly the student age group these days! but that didn't matter we were made very welcome. Light and airy with great booths. The food was lovely huge portions and very reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend (suspect Friday/Saturday evenings might get a bit louder than when we were in though!)Thank you for your recent visit to Cargo and really appreciate the time you took to leave us a great review. Hopefully we will see you return soon. Best Wishes Sam

We had a lovely Roast Dinner here today with Butternut and Sweet Potato Veggie Sausages for the vegetarian mother in Law. Thick slices of Beef and a lovely Lamb Shank, huge jugs of gravy and a sizeable selection dish of fresh veg. All hot and delicious. The sponge puddings are super too !. Friendly staff and good service. This unpretentious and traditional old pub is very friendly with a great selection of beers and gins. There is live music listed on their Facebook page so we are going to pop in for that also before Christmas.

A great British Tavern sitting upon the River Medway, in Upnor village. Serving traditional cask ales, ciders and lagers. A team of chefs, and friendly warm staff serving traditional British Fayre, specialising in fresh fish and local produce. Relax on th
Lovely quiet pub overlooking the river. We decided to eat inside as it was very peaceful and comfortable. The portion of steak and ale pie with mash and peas was enormous. It was delicious but in spite of not having breakfast I couldn't finish it. I did have a small problem with the ladies loo. I couldn't find the light switch, the doors didn't seem to lock and there was no handbag hook and I do hate having to put my bag on the floor. However I could have asked for help with the switch, left my bag with my husband and sang while in the loo. A great lunch we will be back.Thank you, Margaretena, most kind of you to take the time to place a nice review. I will instruct some hooks for the ladies loos, nobody has ever said this before. The lights are in the bmain kitchen they should have been put on by staff in the morning, i will have a word with them for the future, many thanks.

Called in on the off chance for a meal and told in a very un like able manner FULL so i asked could we maybe wait NO FULL ,we had a drink in the dogâs garden sorry then left.Sorry but you need to be a local in this pub.We are very sorry we were not able to offer you food on this occasion. We do get very busy at weekends and very often are completely full or sold out. We therefore always request that customers book in order to avoid disappointment. We trust that you may return sometime in the future.

The Harrow Inn at Lidsing Pub & Restaurant in Kent is a fantastic country Pub and Restaurant, steeped in over 220 years of history and heritage.Located in the small Hamlet of Lidsing, just outside Maidstone, Gillingham and Lordswood the building itself ha
My friends and I have been meeting monthly for lunch for a long while now and have been in many a hostelry and tea shops in the towns.Today was our second visit to The Harrow and it was as welcoming as the first visit.Clare ,the owner is a delight and could not be more helpful and had lit the fire to warm it up as it was so miserable out. To walk into a pub's restaurant and see tables set with white clothes and shiny cutlery,a flower and glassware is a joy to me.We had wonderful freshly cooked fish finger sandwiches(real fish) cooked to perfection and wonderful light batter one friend had a bruschetta with chilli and cheese and another had mushroom soup which she pronounced "the best she had ever tasted".On our previous visit ,there had been mention of Lemon Meringue Pie and Clare had one today especially for us,it was delicious. So we sat and chatted drinking our tap water and decided to book our Christmas lunch and obviously, booking next months lunch although seeing the menu we have decided to have a cooked main next time and the order for our Lemon Meringue Pie is also in the book. It may be slightly off the beaten track but it is so worth a visit we could not fault it thank you Clare and staffThank you for your glowing review. It is lovely to know that you are coming back with your friends and family over the coming months. Hopefully you will get to enjoy all the food on the menu. I look forward to seeing you next month if not sooner.
