Went to the Fox Den to hear some blues music by "Acustic Blues" - they were very good. We came early to have fish. I had the walleye on a plank. It had good flavor, but there were some scales on the skin. The potato pancakes were ok, not great. Very tiny serving of cole slaw, and just 1/2 slice of rye bread (which was very good). Did have warm apple pie with ice cream which was great. Only one wait staff who was also bartender. He was very nice, also very busy, but we were ok as we were not in a hurry. Others had medioce comments about their fish fry. Lots of beers, and several wines too. Nice place to hang out, have a beer and listen to live music when they have it.

Five of us went to a Friday afternoon movie in the 'Falls and we drove out to the Roadhouse for a Fish Fry. We got there about 4:30 so the dining room was almost empty. Our drink order was taken quickly and we then ordered food. One soup was Curried Chicken. Excellent. But I will admit that I like curries. The fish was good of course. I had the tots. Loved them. The place was getting crowded by 5:30 so we were moved along. No big deal, we were done eating and had a good visit with each other.

An upscale family bar & eatery. Located in an 1860's Historic Building. Picturesque outdoor patio during the summer season. Specializing in house-smoked BBQ Ribs, brisket and other meats. Serving anything from salads, burgers, wings to Prime Rib & steaks.
The steak sandwich was good but the fries and onion rings were limp and greasy. Fryer not hot enough? The waitress was out of it. Kind of glassy-eyed. Leaned on our table and other tables and talked about herself. Another waitress was keeping an eye on her and prodding her to keep things moving. Not a great experience.

We had tried to get into the Sobelman's on St. Paul several years ago, and the line for seating was out the door. A good sign! Although I'd heard Sobelman's was noted for it's great burgers, it wasn't until a friend told me they served a veggie burger that I suggested to my husband that we try the newer venue in Richfield. We used to dine frequently at the former Italian restaurant in this location, and the decor didn't seem to have changed much. In fact, there was a burger listed on the menu that commemorated the former establishment. My husband ordered The Loser, which besides the burger included cheese, bacon, and fried onions. He ordered fries as his side. The Loser didn't quite meet my husband's anticipation: he said the burger patty was not thick. It was dry, overdone, nothing special. I ordered the Veggie burger (of course) which was a black bean version served with tomato, lettuce, and onion. It was somewhat dry and really needed some kind of sauce. I had a side salad with Balsamic as my accompaniment. All in all, our experience was not what it was hyped to be. I'm not sure we'd return unless we had visitors whose fondest culinary wish was to eat at Sobelman's. Let me finish, however, with a compliment: Sobelman's serves an excellent jalapeno ketchup which appears to be their own brand. We both enjoyed that experience.

Finding a GOOD breakfast can be hard in this area but let me tell you about this tasty little place right inside the new Delta Hotel In Menomonee Falls. The menu is small (7 items) but AMAZING! We tried the Veggie Burrito and Monte Cristo and they were incredibly tasty. They have tons of options for coffee such as blended, lattes, mochas, espresso and more. This is a must if you live in or are visiting the area. They also serve lunch and dinner which we will be back for soon!

Very old building used to be a post office, store, gas station, and now a restaurant. It's a bar and grille. Friendly place. We had very large shrimp in a shrimp cocktail, excellent, and some kind of deep fried cheese for appetizers. Be sure to ask for the German potato salad for one of your sides even if it's not Friday night, excellent, just the way my grandma used to make it. Then save some room for their drumstick ice cream, excellent, excellent! Hidden gem over there.

Stopped because we thought the building looked very interesting. It was more of a pub/bar atmosphere than what we were looking for but we were pleasantly surprised. The bartender also served our table. Food and drinks were prompt and the waitress was friendly. I usually don't eat hamburgers when dining out but I decided to have one and I am sure glad I did. The burger was freshly made, not frozen. It was tasty and juicy. I couldn't have asked for more. My husband ordered a salad and he too was pleasantly surprised. He claims it was one of the freshest salads he's ever had. Coming from him, that is quite a compliment.

This place is one of my favorite places in the world! The people are great, it feels like home and sometimes they even have karaoke or live music! They have awesome food! Homemade chips are great and they have one of the best bloody mary's in all the land! I'm not sure her name, but the bartender (short grey hair) who was there on Saturday afternoon, June 11th, she made the best Bloody Mary's I've ever had! It's a small neighborhood place, with a big heart! Cheers to you all! I want to also check out the Belly Up Twice on the corner in Lannon!
My husband and I eat and drink at Mr. Brew's fairly often. We love the service; Eric and Patty are awesome and they definitely show they care for their customers. As far as food goes, our favorite appetizer is the pretzels with beer cheese sauce. Our favorite burgers are the bacon mac n cheese burger, the kentucky bourbon burger, and the peanut buster burger. Their hand cut fries are delicious; we usually get cajun or bbq spices on them. The beers are of a great variety and are delicious! You can sample before you buy. One of the meals ordered did not at all live up to the expectations of "having some spice". It was very bland. Apparently our waitress was relatively new because when we gave her a discount card to apply to our bill (prior to receiving the actual bill), she was unsure of what to do with it. We suggested she ask her manager and, of course, he knew exactly what to do.
