Find out what Pub restaurants to try in Gdansk. One of Poland’s most beautiful cities, Gdansk, on the Baltic Sea, has played major roles in history, especially in the 20th-century. It was the 1939 flash point of World War II, and then in 1980, the birthplace of the Solidarnosc labor movement, ushering the end of Communist domination in Eastern Europe. Gdansk’s Old Town, painstakingly reconstructed to its Hanseatic League glory after being leveled in World War II, is a highlight. The 14th-century Town Hall houses the city’s historical museum.

This is a place where you can find the good beer for ages. Piwnica Rajców is a brewery and restaurant located in the heart of GdaÅsk's Old Town, in the vaults of historic Artus Court. Here you can try tasty cuisine from GdaÅsk region or craft beer brewed
Our first visit was brought about by being accosted by a very jovial gentleman on the street outside. The brewery and restaurant are downstairs in a series of cellars. Mostly the food is Polish orientated but there is also a pizza offer. We all enjoyed our meals, I went with the pork knuckle with sauerkraut which was delicious. There is a glass wall down one side of the main restaurant area displaying the fermenting tanks behind. The copper kettles for the brewery on display behind the bar. There is also a novel âbeer wallâ with 6 beers on offer. You load a credit card type of card and then you are free to pour as many samples as you want until your credit runs out, you just pay for what you pour. We enjoyed our evening so much we returned again a couple of nights later and enjoyed the experience and food just as much the second time round.

Had a pint with my wife. Great selection, very helpful staff. Basement pub, either You like such a location or You don't. On the slightly negative side though, is the inclination with the bar master to play very heavy '80s metal on the speakers. Either You like it or You don't...

While wandering around the wonderful Old Town we dropped into Cafe Lamus for a quick couple of beers and what a great find.Walking in and I knew I would enjoy my visit here, eclectic decor and furnishings including a cool looking serving bar and plenty of seating options spread throughout this bar,it's a cool place serving great craft beers served by staff who are very knowledgeable about their beers. We were here on a Saturday night, after a quick study of the beers on offer we both opted to have an IPA style beer here ,these were served in excellent condition, we just kicked back, chilled out and took in the great bar we were in.As much as I enjoy the local brews such as Zywiec beer and Tyskie beer it's just so nice enjoying a quality crafted beer and these beers were quality. We really enjoyed our beers in here and the great atmosphere so much so that we ended up staying here for two beers each before we moved on and for a first time visit we were very impressed with this great bar, we actually didn't get to far as we went to the great craft beer bar next door called Lawendowa 8.Very easy to locate on Ul Lawendowa in an area teeming with pubs, bars and restaurants and some amazing architecture and a major tourist destination. Opening hours are;Monday to Sunday ,Midday till 2am. A great bar and well worth checking out.
