We stopped in to have lunch before meeting the trolley. Service is good and the lone server was quick and efficient. It's a concise menu with traditional offerings. The salmon wrap was on the dry side - it could use an addition of some type of dressing. The chicken salad wrap was tasty, served with battered fries. There's a pleasant outdoor eating area, as well as a dining room and bar area.

Cowboy Jack's first opened in Plymouth, MN in 2009. Since then they have opened 5 more locations in Minnesota. Fredericksburg is the first Cowboy Jack's in a different state and we are incredibly excited! We love the area and all the wonderful people we h
If you are in the Fredricksburg area this is a definite stop. Really great cowboy style decor. Band on Thursday thru Saturday. The service is friendly and you will feel welcome by Manager Amanda. The food is fantastic. Recently we had fall off the bone ribs, mushroom swiss burger, honey garlic wings. Not to mention the cowboy Jack sloppy joe sandwich which was $2 on Mondays. Understand why the locals go here.

Orleans Bistro & Grill is a Cajun Creole Cuisine with a Southern Flare. We want to ensure that when you leave you feel different and happier than when you came. Good southern hospitality, with an awesome atmosphere.
We love the food from New Orleans and this restaurant brings that flavor and fare close to home.We had the alligator bites appetizer, fried oyster appetizer, and shrimp & grits with alligator sausage.Everything was steaming hot when it arrived. That is perfect, because hot food is best eaten when hot, rather than warm. The appearance was excellent, and the flavors bold and robust as if we were in a cafe in New Orleans. The grits were so amazing with tons of tasty cheese, and perfectly cooked shrimp. The decor was nice and the seating comfortable.Highly recommended!!! Thank you so much for your review. We can't wait to dine with you again soon.

Totally surprised by the quality of service and food. We were staying the night at a nearby hotel and wanted some place to eat within walking distance. The exterior doesnât make it look good, but looks can deceive! The waitress was friendly and the food was outstanding!!! We will go back to The Tavern on our next trip to Fredericksburg.

This place is a longtime local favorite, and after my first visit I understand why. The menu is mostly sandwiches and breakfast choices, but everything we tried was delicious. I had the bacon cheeseburger with fries (a bit greasy) but the onion rings, fried in a light batter, were crispy perfection. My dining companions enjoyed their barbecued chicken quesadilla and Reuben sandwich, and the breakfast menu looked really tantalizing. Unfortunately, the service was slow even though we got there at 11:30 when there were only a few tables with diners. The place filled up fast during lunch hour, and I'm sure those people had a long wait. Our waitress was very nice, but the place needs more wait staff.

I ordered the Fred'burger med. well which according to their menu means light pink. It was well done and very dry and the bun was not fresh. I was here 2 years ago and ordered a burger and the same thing happened. I said back then that I wouldn't go back but did, thinking everyone needs a second chance. BUT I definitely will not go back again.

Veteran owned brewery with full restaurant focusing on the community. How so? We write checks directly to farmers for about 80% of our menu ingredients. The chef is tasked with making the food as good as the beer...which is really no easy task as we have
Dinner time! We left before trivia started, but enjoyed our meal. Just basic pub food, but the sandwiches were yummy. Great onion rings! Is it odd that we picked a brewery for dinner when we donât like beer? Maybe. We donât discriminate.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meals, the friendly service, and the experience of Monday Open Mic Night. We tried the fish and chips and shepherd's pie (very flavorful) and an amazing chocolate swirl cake a la mode. The Irish soda bread was wonderful, and served with a raspberry butter. If you are looking to connect with some Irish culture, this is your spot.

Capital Ale House is Virginia's Ale House. We are locally owned and serve only the best craft beer from around the world, across the USA and of course local Virginia brews. We're proud to serve only pasture-raised, antibiotic and hormone free Virginia bee
Capital Ale House has an incredible selection of beers, many of them Virginia craft beers. The red amber ale I had was excellent and not that pricey, though many of the options were $8+ for a pint, which is on the high side. The food menu has a lot of variations on standard bar fare. I had beef ribs, which were ok, but quickly made me realize why most ribs are pork ribs. At $18 for a half-rack and some fries, I did not feel like there was a lot of value, and the service, while friendly, was rather slow.I'm sorry to hear you were disappointed with your ribs. We don't ever want anyone to feel they have not gotten good value for their money. I'm also sorry to hear about the slow service- that is certainly not what we aim to provide. If you wouldn't mind providing more details about your visit or giving me the chance to make this visit up to me, please reach out at [email protected]. I would love to hear back from you.Thank you!

The tavern has a great atmosphere and an extensive list of beer. They serve American comfort food as, well as, traditional European dishes. My husband had the Jagerschnitzel and I ordered the Quattro Formaggio pizza. Both entrees were large portions and very good. Good service and reasonable prices.
