Originally founded in 1938, Brasserie 214 was known as the New Hyde Park Inn. After extensive renovations to the Inn's event facility in 2007, Brasserie 214 has become Long Island's hottest bistro. We'll take you on a culinary road trip through Europe, ma
I'll break down my review in a few components. Food A- Fresh, tasty and plenty of wonderful choices on the menu. They have great prix-fixe nights(Thursday-Steak night, Friday-Seafood night), Service A+++(only if you get Terry which ensures you a great time and you feel like a valuable customer) and the bus staff really works hard to take good care of you, Ambience C-due to the fact that the noise level from the other rooms(mainly the live band or DJ)makes it hard to have a normal conversation or romantic calm evening dinner. The place is comfortable depending on which room you get to dine in but the noise level makes you feel like you are at a local pub. Note: The hostesses are attractive but they are quite snooty and don't really seem to care about customer relations...perhaps they don't value their job or they just want to be picked up at the bar:)LOL There are mainly 2 dining rooms that will cater to you...try to get the one on the right. Don't worry you'll be able to see what I mean when you get there!Overall a great place to dine, celebrate a special occasion or perhaps just to hang out with your friends...it's pretty festive and the prices are alright. For a romantic evening...not quite because of the noise level unless you don't have much to say to your significant other. Happy Eating and I'll see ya around the table. ENJOY:)

Tavern 18 is a casual, affordable neighborhood grill specializing in American comfort food. With deep mahogany hardwood, vaulted ceilings and black & white photos of old New York, tavern 18 provides a comfortable vibe with a timeless old school feel.
We have eaten both dinner and Sunday Brunch at Gallo Tavern 18 and we have had a great meal every time! If you have never had Portuguese Style Chicken you just have to-heads up-it is made fresh so ask for it as soon as you sit down or check in with hostess as it takes about 30 minutes! It has the perfect amount of hot spice and it is absolutely my favorite! As far as the Porterhouse for 2 it is absolutely delicious and served with the best side steak sauce! My favorite brunch item is the Jumbo Lump crab cake Benedict! You must try them. Staff is professional and attentive and the drinks are perfect! Enjoy!
My dad went there with his cronies when he was alive. This place has been around since the 1920s. The interior most likely hasn't been renovated since and I think that "charm" is what attracts a lot of the locals. That and the drinks are pretty darn and inexpensive. Don't expect any bells and whistles here. It's just a drinking joint.
They are an Irish Pub but have many items on menu. I had a great party there. They have a great party room, great staff, etc.
The restaurant has a limited menu and grand cuisine is not their specialty. Pub grub, pretty well made and plentiful. Prices are not bad and the service is good, although generally the bartender has to run back and forth from the bar. The dining area is a little on the dark side, but it's comfortable. There are big screen televisions all over the place with every sporting event imaginable playing at the same time. But, thankfully the sound is turned off in the dining area so you're not bombarded with noise.
Had an amazing time at this great sports bar, great owner, barstaff and customers.Great place to drink, watch sport and play darts.

Super expensive, pricey and for what, exactly. I never understood how a restaurant/pub can ask for those prices on Tulip Ave. in Floral Park.. The portions are tiny and everything is ala cart and the bill is always 20% than it should be. The food is OK but definitely not worth those prices in today's world. They would do 40% more business if they eased up a bit on the prices and increased the sizes of their portions. Service is just Ok and usually amateurish. This is the one place most recommended by friends and family for a drink and/or dinner that is most rejected for the reasons I have mentioned. It is too bad. Maybe they will read this review and have a revelation that most people hate to be overcharged for mediocre food.

The restaurant was interesting enough. The service was awful. We waited a long while to be waited on. As we waited we watched the waitress bringing the wrong order to at least two different tables. We ordered and when our order arrived there were items we ordered missing. The food was mediocre.
we stopped in for lunch, after reading some of their reviews, verified that they had a $20 price fixed lunch-absolutely worth while!!!they offer appetizer [soup, salad], entree [choice of ~6] & dessert.we had-onion soup [cheesy w sweet onions & plentiful] also a caesar salad w/o croutons [gluten free]. then baby back ribs [again plentiful] and scottish salmon [nicely done w a good. tasty crust broiled on]-ribs came w fries & slaw, fish w rice. dessert chocolate lava cake w vanilla ice cream & just ice cream [try the cinnamon-refreshing way to end the meal. glass of NZ sauvignon blanc [they call it on tap] fruity, not overly strong, BIG POUR. this can't be beat for $20pp price fixed lunch !!!

Sometimes you just need a cold beer, a comfy bar stool, and the game on tv. The Trinity is that kind of place and it's nice to see a bartender having a good time watching our team win. Definitely on the "Go To" list.
