Liked the remodel of the Elks club! Great spots to check out. The room stays are ok. Towels are very thin. The shower head was ok. Water pressure ok. The staff were friendly at check in. The beds are comfortable. Coffee on the 6th floor in the morning. There is a safe & iron in the room.Noisey when there is a performer in the building. Parking is paid outside on the street or free after 6pm.Food is ok in the restaurants.Thank you MaureenH47 for your feedback,We appreciate you taking the time to leave your review, and hope you'll get a chance to visit us again soon.

The Loose Wheel is a sport-themed restaurant, featuring home-style food, large portions, and affordable prices.
I had lunch at the Loose Wheel in Puyallup with several friends. Among us we had fish and chips, French dip, a bacon cheeseburger and I had fried chicken. All very good, especially the fish and chips. For $12.95 I got four pieces of pressure-cooked chicken (leg, wing, thigh, and breast). Very tasty. The order came with about six huge jo jo potatoes and cole slaw. I took the breast and three jos home for later. The other guys all gave their meals a thumbs up. It isn't fancy, but it's good food and it's a real food place.

We just happened in to the Mill Restaurant - we had a trailer full of goats headed to the State Fair in Puyallup and after a long day of driving in cruddy weather, I just wanted to pull over and find somewhere to eat with the kids. The Mill was the only sit down, quiet option available, so in we went. No one gave me any trouble over my 95 pound service dog, and they sat us in a nice quiet area. The waiter allowed my daughter to order 2 meals off the kids menu, which ended up being cheaper than buying her the cheapest regular entree. She got the Mac-n-cheese and a Pulled Pork Slider which she devoured (so they must have been good as she's SUPER picky!) My son ordered the pasta (Cacio e Pepe) which needed a bit of salt and pepper for our taste, but was rich and creamy. I had the Mill Burger. Both over-priced, but they were quite delicious! I loved that the burger was made with Wagyu beef and Kurobuta bacon - we raise grassfed cattle and Berkshire hogs, so I was happy to support a restaurant that selects the finest meats available! The fries were yummy, and we all shared. Something odd - there are no condiments on the table. No salt, pepper, or ketchup. We had to ask for each of these separately which I thought was kind of weird. The food filled us up and got us through the night of sleeping in our van waiting for the Fair to open the next morning. I just wish I had paid about 1/3 less than I did for it!

Close to the U of Puget Sound campus, Red Hot is a fun place to stop in for a beer and hot dog -- and to try all their amazing varieties of both.It has a comfortable tavern feel -- the many booths are cozy. The vegan and veggie options make it great for selective eaters. We enjoyed the Tacoma Dog, North End Dog, and the Hound Dog (yes, peanut butter and bacon!).

We had drinks at The Valley before seeing Iron Maiden at the Tacoma Dome. Even though it was crazy busy, the bar tenders were quick, friendly, and willing to answer questions about local beer from us out-of-towners. They had a nice selection of Tacoma specific taps that I didn't recall seeing in Seattle. There were a lot of regulars there as well who swear they have the best sandwiches. The people watching was fantastic, but that could have been more due to the show that night!

The Swiss Restaurant & Pub is housed in an historical 1913 building near downtown museums, retail shops and the University of Washington, Tacoma Branch. Come and see Dale Chihuly's collection of Venetian glass that sits atop our bar while enjoying lunch a
On business staying at the Courtyard downtown and stumbled across this place as there are not too many options for eats downtown at 9PM. Itâs at the top of the hill behind UW Tacoma. It was Monday night which happened to be open mic night. Great band playing, great beer selection, great food got the Swiss burger. and great staff. Looks like they have live music on the weekends as well

Based on a recommendation from a mutual friend, we tried this restaurant. It was also reviewed in Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. The food was excellent. I had the Twisted Reuben and it was delicious. They do offer gluten free buns for $2.00 more. There is no parking lot, so finding a spot on the street can be a little tricky. There are plenty of side streets nearby to park on.

Needed to get off freeway and the ridiculous traffic during rush hour. Near the University, which means itâs downscale. Only pay parking:$1/hrOrdered the BLT with Dungeness Crab. Extra $6, not much crab, not worth it. Sourdough bread came out soggy and the bacon looked liked it was cooked this morning. The garlic fries were Luke warm, at least the beer was good

This place is off the chart fabulous! Try something you think you may like and youâll love it! The biggest surprise was the check, I would not have flinched if it were 25-35% higher, I thought waitress made a mistake! My favorite was the tacos (one of each type, of course) and sweet potato fries! Yes, they went together superbly! Every dish that passed us made us wish we had something else!

If you want great food and variety- this is the place. It definitely gives a "hole- in- the- wall" feel, but it is one of my favorites. I love their nachos and their Taco Thursday deals are great. My vegetarian friends rave about the Buddha wrap and go just for that! Oh, and I almost forgot about their awesome brunch! The only downside is its often difficult to find a place to sit, especially when it is their taco night.
