Love going to Legends for lunch for work. We eat here about once every week and the food is just fantastic. If Denise is there, you know you'll have a great time at lunch. I miss their soups that they do in the fall and in the winter, but I get to look forward to those shortly. They always make neat soups and it's one of the best minestrone soups I've ever had!

The burger was great, perfectly cooked. My oriental salad was more crispy noodles than lettuce, and definitely not the requisite amount of chicken. But the worst part was that it was absolutely the worst service I've ever experienced. 10 minute wait to get a drink order (at 5pm, not busy), then she brought the food and never came back. No drink refills. No removing empty plates. No bill. I finally paid using the table top computer and walked out without so much as a thanks for coming from a single person in the place. Too many other restaurants to choose from in the area with far more consistent quality and actual service to make this a worthy stop.

Stopped in for the first time and will definitely return. Had a hard time deciding, since everything sounded and looked great. Went with sharing the calamari and a pistrami on a pretzel bun. Service was fast and friendly. Portions were large, everything hot and tasty. The prices are reasonable, and I'm looking forward to returning to try more of the menu.

We have been back here several times lately. Don't know what happened but I suspect kitchen changes. They have upped their game. We've had several meals here recently and all have been outstanding. Highly recommend the Friday night fish fry. Best I've had anywhere close. Service is personable and friendly. The bar, manned on Thursday and Friday by Woody and Saturday by Gordon is excellent. This is a very warm and local restaurant not fancy, just good food and pleasant people. They kinda make you feel home even when you're not. One warning, cash only. But they do have an ATM machine.
This lounge was a breath of fresh air in a town that's, well, seen better days. Six of us went to the Starlite Room as a group in late May (2015) for cocktails and didn't want to leave. The drinks were good, the service was efficient, casual and friendly and the atmosphere, welcoming. It's a great find and I'll return again and again whenever I'm in the area. parking is free.
I have been following this new bar and grill on Facebook since they opened. We live in Bath but were in Elmira for a visit and decided to check Teall's out and we are so glad we did!!! The place is clean, nicely lit, plenty of room between booths/tables, lots of tv choices and a very friendly staff! Handicap access is through the back. The menu consists of a nice variety of appetizers, salads, sandwiches/ wraps and burgers. My wife ordered the steak salad which came with lots of blue cheese crumbles and excellently cooked steak and plenty of it..she had to take half of it home! Served with something called "sidewinder fries" ...steak fries that are slightly twisted, not too thick and crispy on the outside, puffy on the insde. I had the Tavern Angus burger, served on a nicely toasted Artisan roll with lettuce, tomato and mayo...a half pound of quality beef that was cooked to perfection with a lively char that gave the flavor a whole new depth and dimension and also came with the sidewinder fries. You have got to give this place a shot...you won't be disappointed!!! I know we will definitely be back!

We went there a couple of weeks ago to give the place "another chance"-what a mistake! We ordered what the menu described as a hot roast beef sandwich with fries-I should have figured something was up when less than 5 minutes later the waitress was delivering what was not what we had anticipated. First of all it was open face on a stale piece of white bread-the beef was clearly pre sliced and rolled up to make it appear better than what it was-it was tough and cold-to make matters worse the whole thing was smothered under a blanket of canned gravy, which was also cold and looked like a pile of gel...the fries were also smothered under the canned gravy which only made them taste as bad as they looked as well. The people at the other table saw what we had and immediately changed their minds-they got burgers and they did in fact look pretty good. This place is just a dressed up bar with bad food. We will NOT be going back again, especially when the tab was well over $30.00 for food that was clearly not worth 50% of that. We don't mind paying, but we do mind when the food is way less than stellar and this was!!!!

A great place for food for you and the family, or just a few drinks. Great selection of beer, Craft, Micro Brews etc... Many people have described us as the Cheers of Elmira, and I agree. Come in alone and leave having made a few new friends. We are cash
We used to live in the Elmira area and loved the Elbow Room. We recently visited the area to be with family and just had to go to the Elbow Room for wings. Theyâre still the best around.
