Eat. Drink. Be Happy. What does it take to be a regular at Bar Louie Geneva? An enjoyment of the craft and the desire to experience something out of the ordinary. From our Chicago roots, we've always known that having a comfortable place to hang out, get
My SIL went on and on about this place. So, we had to go. Nice bar scene inside and out.Our Spinach Dip appetizer arrived very runny. Had to send it back. Hmm, first clue.I ordered the Fish & Chips; noticed that the breading was dark brown. I grabbed some fries from under the fish that were hot as hot could be. Put my fork into the first piece of fish and it collapsed. They deep fried the hell out of it. My plate was removed and I ordered a new meal. The Manager came out and apologized. He also removed my meal from the bill.I may or may not try them again.Dan, we are sorry to hear that your first impression of us was so poor. This is not the standard that we seek to offer any of our guests, and we will work hard to improve our process and serve you better next time. It is important to us to offer a five-star experience to everyone looking for a hot meal and a cold drink, and we hope to see you again soon. Thank you for the feedback. Cheers! -PB

Every time I go here, I try something new. But let's start with the basics - the burgers. $5 Burgers on Tuesdays? Yes please. They are all delicious. The shareables (apps) are also excellent - from fried pickles, to boneless wings (have the exotic sauce, you'll thank me). Also a big fan of the tacos. The fish tacos are supposed to be delish, but try the fried avocado taco. Mmmmmm ... friendly service at the bar and good prices.
We started with chips and salsa. The salsa was delicious, but the chips a bit stale. I had a Jamaican Jerk chicken sandwich, which was very tasty and tender. My husband had the fish fry, which he said was very good. The service was wonderful, as was the view of the golf course.

Stopped at this popular location for a late lunch with friends. We were happy with the food, service and value. Seemed like a place where it's easy to find a menu item that you will like. The chicken salad on a croissant tasted homemade. The soup and salad combo was, as well. We will return.

Been coming here for years. They offer lighter fare along with amazing salads and fantastic sandwiches. No real entrees but definitely enough food to fill you up. The salads are my favorite. Along with a huge and extremely fairly priced Whiskey menu and rotating local draft selection theres something to drink for everyone. They craft seasonal cocktails using very unique flavors and ingredients. Definitely stop by and ask them what's new.Cheers!!!
Niko's changed hands a while back and became Stevie D's. After checking their website and a couple reviews, we went there tonight for dinner. They were closed. I can only assume they're out of business, as what bar would be closed on a Saturday at 7:30pm?

I simply don't get to draw... perhaps it's the never ending money off coupons that fill up the mailbox every weekend or perhaps it's the lower drink prices ...it's certainly not the food ...it's certainly not the atmosphere and it is certainly not because of the service.
If you just want to have a drink, and not be noticed, this bar is the best for that. A typical Chicago style corner bar, allows you to have a few drinks and get some pretty decent bar food. Prices on drinks are high, and no credit cards are accepted. Bartenders are very good and will cook you a burger or pizza late at night. Open late. More working man/ biker bar. Karaoke first Saturday of the month which is pretty awesome.

This tavern has everything you want for the local establishment. Good Grille and menu covering many options for wraps, sandwiches, burgers, and salads. Wednesday specials for chicken are nice. Plenty of seating and TVs with a bar that can seat 25. Some of the offerings are smoked locally - try the roast beef and cheddar! The only drawback is somewhat small selection of tap beers.

My wife and I went for lunch today. We started with cheese curds and a IPA, both were serviceable as well as my Italian panini. However, my wife could only eat half of her Too SALTY swiss cheese burger, that was supposed to be cheddar jack. She kept nibbling at it thinking it was just a area over salted, but, no. She gave me a bite and I Do Not know how she ate 1/2 of her 1/4 pounder. Her coleslaw was under spiced, it had no taste, go figure. Based on the reviews and a interesting back story on the name, we thought we would give it a try. If you want to stop in for a beer ok, but the $50+ bill, plus tip for a lunch that couldn't be eaten not a good choice for me. We are not picky eaters or complain about food or service. (My wife would not let me address this with the bartender/waitress). So here I am. There are Much better options on the block that we have always enjoyed. Just my opinion and experience today.
