A Cotswold stone fronted traditional village inn, offering a contemporary seasonal menu of locally sourced fresh produce. A relaxed atmosphere where food is served in the informal dining areas. A well stocked bar with a focus on real ales from independent
I just love everything about this pub- the atmosphere, the settles to sit on, the comfortable tables, chairs and decor and a fab outside garden to soak in the rays of the sun when we have them. I've been back quite a few times since first eating here and it's been quality every single time. Went last weekend to meet up with family so there were 7 of us eating for lunch- we mostly had the specials- beef roast with potatoes gravy and side of cauliflower and broccoli cheese dish- delicious. My brother in law had the chicken wild mushroom and watercress crepes which looked delicious and he said were yummy, my sister in law had the plaice. Mum in law had beef like me and my son had double cheeseburger while my hubby and father in law had the lamb curry which again, was tasty but not too spicy- just right. We will be back very soon- thanks so much!

We called in Sunday mid afternoon for a drink and to possibly eat. Had heard various negative reports locally on the pub, which years ago we frequented regularly and always had a good experience. The bar was empty and nobody was serving but then a tall man appeared, the owner perhaps, who quite sternly asked what we wanted. We ordered a half pint of lemonade and a half pint of lager shandy, the lemonade was poured from an R. Whites bottle and ice dropped in afterwards, without asking if ice was wanted! Price for two small drinks £5.40! The menu was expensive, maybe thatâs why the pub, on a festival weekend, was empty. The âownerâ then loudly berated someone behind the bar who was being trouble by a flying insect and promptly sprayed some sort of pungent product, the smell of which wafted across to us, and also took three people by surprise who had just arrived at the bar. All in all, felt unwelcoming, expensive and unimpressed by the gentlemanâs attitude. Would not return.

A Traditional Freehouse, serving Real Ales and Quality Homemade Menu both Lunchtime and Evening.
2 couples visited the Old Badger Inn for drinks and a evening meal last Saturday evening.Staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive.Wide variety of drinks available and those that we had were good.Food proved to be excellent with Nachos starter for one being plenty for two.The main meals were Mixed Grills x2, Fish & Chips and Shepherds Pie. All were very tasty and plenty of it.Would recommend it as place to visit and enjoy the atmosphere and food & drink.

Situated just 800 yards from the world famous Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, and yards from the banks of the Gloucester-Sharpness Canal, The Tudor Arms is open for breakfast from 8:00 am and serves main meals from 12:00 until 9:00 pm. We serve a
A large number of us stayed on the campsite and also utilised the hotel. We booked the back room for dinner on Saturday night. We pre-ordered as there were 30 of us and arrived promptly at 8.30 as was requested by the pub. Our meals still took 45 minutes to arrive, which is understandable, but longer than we had hoped as it was so late. I also felt like I was sitting in a school canteen being shouted at by frustrated dinner ladies as each meal was barked/yelled out! By the time we were finished and had to ask if we could have deserts, we were told that deserts would take potentially half an hour because the kitchen staff had gone home! This was at 10.20pm. We didn't bother, which was a real shame. We stated until the bar closed and our empty plates remained uncleared. Delicious food, poor service.Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review,We are disappointed that you were not happy with the service you received and would like to just clarify a few points that you have made,Firstly; the time that was scheduled for your food to be served was 8:45pm and not 8:30pm, 8:30pm was the time stated for your arrival. Its important to note that when the waitress began bringing the starters out, it was apparent that your party were not seated or ready for their food, therefore we took the starters back to the kitchen to keep them warm and the manager informed you that your first course was ready to be served. It was then requested by a member of your party that we serve the children's meals with the starters, which we did as quickly as possible. Your first course was then cleared and main courses served around 9.20pm. I do not think that this is a particularly long time to wait between courses, especially considering that we were also asked to serve the children's meals in between. In regards to the "school canteen" that you mention in your review, it was actually requested by the organiser of your party that you were seated in that room. I am sorry that you felt as though you were being shouted at by the waitress, although, as I am sure you can appreciate, sometimes when serving such a large party you do have to speak louder in order to be heard over the general hubbub of chatter.I apologise that you felt you were unable to have any desserts, as explained on the night we would have been more than happy to make them for you, however there would have been a slight delay as at 10.20pm the kitchen staff had finished for the evening and we would have been reliant on a member of the bar staff to make them. I would again like to emphasise how disappointed we are with the negative comments received, especially considering your party was only booked four days before the event, and we specifically explained to the person organising it that we would not usually take a booking of that size during the extremely busy bank holiday weekend, however we would be happy to do so on the proviso that you be understanding of this. Please feel free to contact us if you would like to discuss anything further. We hope to see you again, Many thanks, Management

Walked up to and around the Fort before coming back for a late lunch.Simple menu but difficult to chose because we were so hungry.Portion sizes were huge and the food was great - local ham and sausages very good and onion rings were properly crispy.Deserts were also very good.Great service and a lovely atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

We decided to go to the George at Frocester for Sunday evening meal to celebrate our eldest's A level grades and his place at Cardiff University. Had looked online for menu but hadn't seen three roast dinners we all decided to plump for these two beef and two pork- gorgeous lovely gravy as a pour on and two lots of vegetables to share between four and two gravy boats. superb for the price and quality. I then decided to have the mini desserts plate which I then had to share with the rest of the table.- thoroughly recommend as small bites and tasters rather than feeling too full at the end of the evening - fabulous x

'The Old Spot Inn' is a traditional real ale pub located in Dursley on the gorgeous Cotswold Way. We like to think of it as a 365 day beer festival here with our 7 real ale pubs frequently changing, as well as the 3 still ciders we also have on offer. Hea
Lovely pub with nice beer garden. Nice drinks. I was sadly disappointed with the food. Had the fishfinger sandwich which was made with out the packet fishfingers (ie something like Birdseye). This is one of my favourite dishes and wherever I go itâs always homemade fishfingers. At £7.75 with no chips / crisps Either I thought it was well overpriced. I believe they only do food at lunchtimes.
