Our quick pop in for an after shopping beer ended up in an afternoon of really good food. We were really pleasantly surprised by the interesting (albeit strangely named), varied, delicious dishes. We followed the waitresses recommendations and needless to say, we will be back soon!
Good vibe with groups and friends gathering. Bar and coctails with casual food, pizzas and burgers. Energetic waiters with back ground music and live sport on television. Cater for large groups or smaller tables

Well worth the drive out to Mikpunt. The pub is in a little gem of a town hidden just outside Durbanville. It's small, but the people are friendly and the prices are very reasonable. They also serve food, but we did not order there, so I can't comment. Beautiful setting, especially in winter.

Not sure whats happening, but it's bad! No welcome....no service....waiter hardly around....no mention of specials. I ordered steak (not even average), the sauce was a joke. My gf ordered Chilli Nachos, we had to ask for more as there was hardly any on and we ordered a kiddies pizza....well, who can really screw up a kiddies pizza?! I'm very very disappointed as this use to be my favourite spot for some decent food! Seems like this one is also changing into a pub scene, like the rest of the franchise.

Always nice going there. Good food, good prices, nice specials. Entertainment for kids. Friendly waiters. One stop shop

Overall the food was average/plain: there was nothing traditionally Mexican (fresh = cilantro, lime, tomato, avo) in the food. The guacamole appeared purchased vs home made with thickeners/starch vs an authentic taste to the dip. Itâs good value for money if youâre after volume but itâs not authentic Mexican. Service was great!

The Hollow Tree on Oxford was built in the early 1800s and, along with our neighbours, is the oldest remaining building in Durbanville. It is thought that the building was originally built as a bakery and residence. After several renovations, it was used

Warm fireplaces, wine and a tailor-made pizza helped to create a beautiful evening. Music somewhat loud, but that fits the bar. The waiter (Michael) was attentive and the comprehensive setting of our table was done without disturbing the conversations. Will visit again :-)

Definitely a value-for-money, friendly pub and restaurant for local Durbanvillers! Great Eisbein, drinks are reasonably priced, you will enjoy the unfenced seating outside (beer garden style). Service was fast as well as payment was quickly done. Good for afternoon, after-work drinks with friends as well as evening dinners!
